    Giveaway! Wolf's Chemicals

I would like to give Hard Body a go. Interested in seeing how it stacks up against the competition. Also on my short list of innovative products I'd like to try, The Mask and Clean and Coat. Anything that saves time is high on my list. Hope I get a shot to give any of them a try.

Product Review: Grit Guard Pad Washer

Defiantly a time saver especially when cleaning pads that have a durable sealant on them but I feel its way overpriced! That said after using one I would still never go back. Best to clean washer right after your done or the spent product in the bucket and pumps will require some effort. Only...

How Long to 2BM Your Garage Queen

Takes me just about the same time with a very similar process. Except I skip the boars hair brush on top since I have a hard top and my jams are usually clean enough so just a quick spritz with DG Clean and Shine does the trick! Add another 15-20 minutes if I spray wax.

    self proclaimed professional

I want 20 minutes of my life back...lol. Actually jumped around but had seen enough after about 5 minutes. I can and do appreciate the effort he makes but after reading the comments he clearly knows it all and has all the answers. Typical of his age group. Funny how after 48 years of living and...

How many use customers water or electric?

I follow a simple rule and since I only detail on a part time basis I can afford to. If after explaining that I will require access to water and electric the customer has a problem with that, they will most likely have a problem with my work. Read that as someone that is never satisfied. It's...

    Am I use Aquawax wrong?

Your towels may have been contaminated from a previous load of regular laundry. Do you use fabric softener or dryer sheets with your regular loads of wash? Do the linting towels in question also not absorb well until damp? As Kevin suggests you can try the cup of vinegar during rinse cycle. I...

Giveaway! New & Improved DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss

DP Rinseless Wash and Gloss has cut my weekly wash time in half and I love the gloss left behind! Gives me more time to concentrate on the little details. Bubble gum sent is pleasurable also. Would love to give the new formula a go.

Tips for using Detailer's Paint Coating

Clear on the applicators but not so clear on the microfiber towels. Should they be re-purposed for non paint use or can they go back into service on paint after a good wash? I can defiantly see the potential for any residual product left in the towel after washing wreaking havoc on the paint.

    Foam cannon and hard water

Most of the manufacture produced videos use a pretty potent mixture to get that shaving cream like foam. A washer 2500 PSI with 2.2 GPM flow rate is more than adequate and within MTM's recommended required spec. Hard water will reduce the amount of foaming to a certain point so that could be...

Some questions for the DG experts

That has been and still is (501/601, 105/601, 845 a coat of each) my go to winter prep. 105 is great bang for the buck. Should last a long time if paint has proper prep before application. For a little cut with protection give some #671 a try.

Best method of removing the 'clouding' or streaking of Hydr02?

I to did my ride a panel at a time but like I said the sun decided to make an appearance before I was totally done. Not what I wanted to hear! My garage queen has pretty much a flawless finish. Hate removing clear coat if I don't have to regardless how little. Wonder if a chemical cleaner would...

*NEW* Lake Country THIN Wool Pads - Heavy Correction Made Possible with a DA!

Anybody try on a 3401 yet? If so did they have a tendency to walk a lot? Need to replace my current thick LC purple wool pads. Wondering if I'll just stick with thick or go thin?

Best method of removing the 'clouding' or streaking of Hydr02?

Also interested in a solution. End of last week was overcast all day, so I thought what a good time to try out some Hydro2 on my garage queen. Quick wash/strip and then application of Hydro2. Half way through Hydro2 application the sun came out! Only had a few panels left. Wasn't quick enough...

What to charge for applying a coating?

All great points. Lets assume the vehicle is brand new and the paint is totally defect free, though it would be easer to find a unicorn! At the very least your still going to want to ensure a squeaky clean contaminate free surface to apply whatever type of coating and promote good bonding. At...

Name of and method to remove 'ghost streaks'?

Sounds like some very light water spotting or combination of water droplets picking up some type of airborne fallout and then the sun drying up the water and leaving the contaminant embedded in the paint. Do a test spot with a clay bar, cleaner wax, chemical water spot remover or light compound...

845 over DG105/601 - How long to wait?

With 601/105 at the recommended mix taking into account weather and temperature conditions you can apply a second coat as soon as first coat has been buffed off. (I ran this by both the brothers years ago and they confirmed) Regarding layering, yes 105 has some mild cleaning property's and so...
