105 is hard to work with, unlike UC, but it has great cut, which is why I suppose it is so popular on this forum. To me, UC is more like a medium cutting polish. I've switched to D300.

Duragloss 501 will fit your bill. It has both strong cleaners and nano-abrasives, and because it is a sealant, great longevity. Oh, it's also very inexpensive.

I think that most people wouldn't be able to tell a difference on a very well prepped car between a very expensive boutique wax and your $15 wax. However, the very big difference, as you point out, is longevity and Collinite has that market cornered.
