Duragloss Users/Enthusiasts

PFix, For your information (and others), here is a thread I did a while back about mixing 601 and either 501 or 105 or 111 for that matter. I had originally posted it on L2D but posted it here too on request of RWright. Doing this saves time if you plan on doing multiple steps with DG. I do 601/501 followed by 601/105 followed by IW845 for bulletproof protection. Hope that helps:

Thanks Richy, good info and a great time saver.

So CEE DOG (Corey), you have been selected to BETA test a Duragloss Nano Polish. You have been contacted for directions and info. Now I have a couple more Duragloss products to dispose of in the coming days, who to give them to? Hmmm....

I got 3 cars in the driveway just waiting for a spring detail in the coming weeks.
They could use some Duragloss love.

I'll man up and volunteer....

Im the MAN

I am using 101,105, 601,451, 901,and 951. Absolutely one of my favorite lines and quite possibly the best value for the dollar out there. IMO.

pfix, please pm me your shipping info ;)

Spring has finally come here in the Rockies. My grandson has been driving the hand-me-down '99 Jeep I gave to him as a birthday present last May that he's neglected all winter, which kinda makes me cringe because of my emotional attachment to the car. With his BD coming up I was thinking of teaching him how to clean it properly (with him doing the elbow grease part of the job, hehe). Having never used Duragloss, I'd be willing to do a thorough review of whatever product(s) you think might be appropriate, along with pics.

Cancel my post, the car is going to be detailed by someone. Thanks.

Just used 901 and 501 with my GG6 and tangerine pad. Worked great. Wish I had some 601 to add so I didn't have to wait to put the 845 on. I also use and love Aquawax. Need to get more AW and would like to try the 601 with the 501 and get some 105 to try. Just cant pay the shipping right now for just the few items I need. At least I can get the 22oz AW locally, would like to find the 601,105, 501 and gallon of AW around here.

I find it so interesting how many people top Duragloss with Collinite. I also am part of this group---best bang for the buck wax and sealant!!!

105 has light cleaners in it, 111 has no cleaners. 111 is also a little finicky with humidity in my experience. 501 can be used as a paint cleaner. it really pulls out grime like you wouldn't believe but leaves a layer of protection behind. you may see it excel on white because of the grime that it pulls out of paint. if you use 601 then 501, within 2 hours you can top with 105. add 601 before 105 and it will be cured within 2 hours. do a final wipe with aqua wax and you won't believe the finish.

Great post, thanks!

So far ive used 601,501, 271 and 105. All of them are great products. The 501 looked great and did a good job cleaning the wife's car. The durability wasn't what I hoped for. Then rwright helped me out with a sample of 105. It was just what my truck needed. Applied in February and it just now needs redone.
271 is great too, used it on my side mirrors and they look outstanding.

So it's been a year -- any word on when the Nano polish will be out????

Jason (Deep Gloss Auto Salon) has suggested to me the following lineup for white paint

501->601->111->AW

I finally gathered all the products and my trans am is almost corrected to the point that I can use this combo. This will be my first run with DG products, besides the 901 wash which I liked quite a bit. I'll be posting a full write up when everything is complete. Can't wait to see this combo on my arctic white paint!

At the time this thread was started, I had acquired some AW, 501, 601 and 105, but hadn't used them yet. Since the OP bumped the thread, I'll share my 2 cents. I used the venerable Richy menu in doing a spring refurb on my winter DD Intrigue. The 501 was amazing in reversing the effects of a PA winter on my metallic red paint. Frankly, I wasn't all that impressed with the 601/105 second step at first, but once I topped it with 845, I feel I got about the best results possible without aggressive polishing. AW also will be a staple on my shelves. The original lacquer paint on my Camino is very sensitive to waxes. AW passed with flying colors, showing none of the streaking that occurs with so many other products I've tried. Based on results so far, I'll definitely be sampling more of the DuraGloss line. DG reminds me of Collinite-no big advertising campaigns, no big pricetags, just solid performance.

Bill I couldn't agree more! DG has become more and more of my go to products.

I did a jeep about 11 months ago and used this combo.......haven't seen the vehical in a while .I ran into the owner and asked hime how the jeep was doing and he told me It looks like the day he picked it up from me. This vehical has never seen rain since he bought it. They will drive it on sunny days only and before they put it up it gets washed with 901 and a topper of AW, and he says this thing still beads water like crazy.

I may have worked myself out detailing this one again......oh well...he is still happy and that makes me happy!

DG501, DG601, DG105, DG carwash, DG Aquawax, DG Detail Spray. They all work great, fantastic products.

I don't think it's going to happen. We're just starting to work on something completely different.

Jason's advice to you is stellar.
