    Polisher for small areas?

*edit* Found what I was looking for. Thanks for posting this. Last I read the forum, an extension for the PXE was hard to come by.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

2017 Oxford White Just turned 5,000 miles yesterday! Applied a second coat of High Gloss, with an immediate wipe-off, due to some streaking and speckle issues with the initial application. Perhaps user error. [emoji51] Shelby has a base coating of TACsystem Moonlight. And thinking about it...

what is the best finishing polish "hands down" in your opinion???

what is the best finishing polish "hands down" in your opinion??? I’m often torn between a finishing polish and one infused with silica…such as CarPro Essence. The concept of laying down some protection that a long-term coating will (supposedly) bond with, better than bare paint, is...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Thorough wash and applied PA High Gloss on the exterior. I had just finished drying the car when a swarm of bees flew overhead. I looked up to see where they were headed and when I came back to the car, it was covered in bee pollen poo. [emoji219] [emoji90] [emoji592] So, I washed it...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

McK’s 37 has been a detail-changing experience for me. Out of the several WW/RW products I’ve used, its now the only one I prefer to clean with. I found myself always going over the car with a detail spray or topper after using ONR, WG Uber (pink & blue), CarPro EcH2O. I like the selections...

CP Essence Plus drying aid / topper?

^ If Elixir worked as directed, we’d all be talking about how great it is… *crickets* It is definitely one of those products that could be reformulated, if we’ve all had issues with it. It is my least used (detail) spray. I pull it out every few months, and while wiping it off, generally...

CP Essence Plus drying aid / topper?

Elixir def streaks. I make BMJ and it works wonders! I plan on mixing Elixer with some other stuff just so it can be used up. I wouldn’t even give it away. And I very much enjoy CarPro products. *edit* Hybrid tire shine. Mix PERL & Elixir. I already do this with PERL and Reload, so...

What do ya'll like for windshield protectant?

Currently, there is Polish Angel High Gloss and after curing, a topper of Ethos “Resist” graphene ceramic spray. It actually rained here this week and what is surprising is the water roll-off at low driving speeds. Under 25mph, droplets start going up the windscreen. This hasn’t happened with...

    Inside Griot's Garage

You can do it! Just take your time… This is a 2020 model that was the dealer’s loaner car. 4,500 miles and the paint was atrocious! Like, they ran it through their automated car wash after every customer returned it (which they did!). The buyer actually got a couple thousand off asking price...

    Ceramic coat on guitars...

I gently wipe down all my gear after playing. Lizard Spit is sold as safe for all finishes…be it Nitrocellulose Lacquer or Polyester. Nitro can get sticky on the back of the neck. It can get annoying when playing, and even keeping MF towel nearby for intermittent wipe down doesn’t seem to help...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I would think however, if a surface is super slick, things will not stick to it. So how would that not help repel dirt and debris? Let’s say slickness doesn’t repel dirt, but due to the hydrophobicity, the little water droplets cleaning the top 2/3 of my car on the way to work these chilly fall...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

SiC is slicker than Gliss. That aside, I feel that slickness is the first property that diminishes in a coating. Even after the first wash, it’s not going to be like day one again. If this is news of the obvious, please forgive me. I’m just an enthusiast when it comes to detailing…not an...

    Ceramic coat on guitars...

I seem to be attracted mainly to pricey guitars, and haven’t tried coating any of them. But I did use Xtreme Solutions metal polish on the frets and pickups of a Gretsch I bought. It didn’t get me any closer to playing like Brian Setzer (my favorite musician/guitarist), but she turned out purty...

FLEX PXE 3” orbital (battery powered) I used the 1” backing plate on the wheels. It’s a valuable tool that gets used on every job. And thank you! [emoji846]

Wrapped up a 15-hour detail. I am spent! -CarPro CQuartz UK3.0 base layer -CarPro SiC on top and all trim -Dr Beasley’s NSP 150 polish on the wheels and topped with Ethos Resist graphene spray. I do not say the following lightly: CarPro SiC is the slickest coating I have ever applied. Mind...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Standard wash and paint decon method. McKees37 rinseless wash as a claylube along with the synthetic clay disc…it feels like I’m deep cleaning the pores of the paint. CarPro Essence’d the whole car. Done for the night. Ceramic coating goes on in the morning. CarPro SiC
