While the same look results can be obtianed using a cleaner like simple green, protection is the strong point of 303.
303 is basically like sun block for your car's interior, and it will greatly help reduce any fading over time compared to simple green. Both will clean just as good, but 303...
Interesting this poll would go up right before you guys move. I think they may be planning something sneaky like beggining to carry Collinite products. Great for us!
This stuff is great, only surpassed by the DP Wheel sealant. That stuff works amazing. Brake dust simple washes off with water for a few weeks! :awesome:
Theres seems to be a lot of talk about exterior and interior detailing, but not so much about engine detailing or undercarriage cleaning. These are parts that most likely go untouched a majority of the time.
Anyone know of any good detialing how to threads, sites, etc that go into depth with...
When I used it to clay, I did keep the disc side lube free. While it is sticky and hard to remove, it is not impratical. Give it a try. The polishin pal is a good productIm the MAN, just very tiresome!
But as has been said before on this forum, its great for those hard to get at places...
Peanut oil? I agree. And is AIO safe o really use on trim, I am afraid I will end up making it worse (discolored or faded) since AIO is a chemical based cleaner.
Any other thoughts?
Thanks for all the great comments. Im happy to see that for the first time out, I ended up with a good result (that said it is a new car so it shouldnt be surprising).
But I still have so much still to learn, and looke forward to the enxt detail and even better results!
Yea, I had taken the tires off to glaze the complete rim, and had put them back on by the time I gave thought to the fender wells. Adding that to the checklist to do before the tires go back on!
So I took advantage of the long weekend, I finally did what I would call my first full detail ever. I used to own a pos forf escort (not worth detialing!). This is what I did:
Washed(meguiars gold class), & dryed
Clayed(pinnacle ultra clay and lube)
PB Spray and wipe on door jams and trunk...
I used blue painters tape on my exterior black rubber trim this weekend while detailing my car. I have seen a lot of people use this, and just assumed it was safe
When I was done, I peeled off the tape and look what was left, glue residue or something!
Any suggestions on how to...
So if I apply 1 coat of EX, and wait 60 minutes before removing it, can I then apply a second coat of EX? Or is it then that I must wait 8-12 hrs for it to cure before applying a second coat?
Can someone please define 'curing' for me. Does this mean applying EX, then leaving it on for xx hours, then buffing off? Or do you apply, allow to dry to a haze, buff, and wait xx hours before applying a second coat. Thanks!
It's interesting the state offices, small buisnesses, etc. will close with the approach of a hurricane; but the great people at AG will weather (no pun inteded) the storm to fill our orders and keep us company here.
Really makes you appreciate just how motivated and dedicated they are :applause:
