This is my go-to as well, followed up with 303 Aerospace Protectant where needed/wanted. Always does the job well and doesn't leave behind anything I don't want.

If it's too tough to remove, then you're laying it on TOO thick. The trick with 845 is to lay it down super thin.

What you're talking about.. those are not true coatings.. they are what the dealer CALLS "coating" but they're far from it. At best, they are VERY expensive sealants that come with a "warranty".. They can't hold a candle to a true coating like Cquartz or Opti-Coat.

I give my engine bay a good clean-up with appropriately diluted Meg's 101 APC, and then rub down all the plastics with 303 protectant. Leaves a nice, clean, not-too-shiny look.

The way I see it, there are 3 basic reasons why someone would stick with Waxes/Sealants instead of switching to applying a coating.. some of which have been covered.. 1 - "Coatings are scary and I don't want to risk misapplying it and screwing up the finish, or at least wasting the $$$ I spent...

This was my observation as well. I've used Megs UC myself on my 2010 Fusion, and I find it to be an amazing product, but it really does support a longer work time than it appears you're using in that video.

Amen to that. I've been saying this for at least a year. While D156 may work just as well as UQW, the smell just can't compare.

I agree regarding Meg's Crystal Wash - it's okay but nothing special. Decent for the price. I've gone through a bottle of Turtle Wax Ice Wash & Wax and I was pretty happy with that. Lots of suds, smells great, easy to find. I am anxious to try out a couple of the more 'specialty' car...
