How to restore a old truck paint.

I use House of Kolor epoxy primer available from TCP Global.net. It can be sprayed thinner and be used as a sealer, too. They also have a line of "Hot Rod Flatz" single stage paint that you might investigate using for your Black. Just google them and give them a call.

I have an old rotary polisher I was thinking about trying out...

Wow, that's a good idea. Got a part number?

How to restore a old truck paint.

I'd suggest wetsand with 400, epoxy prime, seal, then flat black.

I have an old rotary polisher I was thinking about trying out...

My rotary is an old Black & Decker Professional, similar to that one, with a single speed that is kinda too fast. However, I still use it and it works fine. I would like to upgrade, of course, but I would say you can use it and get good results. Of course I've been using a rotary for...

    Tried Aquawax today. :)

It's the only thing I can use on black at a car show w/o streaking (well, it and its sibling products).

    Tried Aquawax today. :)

I'm a big fan of it. I can put it on black in the sun and not streak (if I'm reasonably quick and careful). Great for a car show.

How about K-Wash? Dropping the L.

    Favorite all purpose cleaner

Is OPC "body shop safe"? I wondered, as I was wanting to use it full strength to degrease an engine compartment I want to paint.

Poorboy's White Diamond & Black Hole

A little goes a long way. If you use too much, hard to remove. I'm speaking of PBBH...haven't tried the white stuff yet.

    Can glazes be layered?

My experience with PBBH is that one coat does 90% of what you need...another coat may give you 10% improvement (these are not scientific numbers, just an attempt to give my impressions numerically). I just got some Wet Glaze 2.0 and used on my black batwing air cleaner (painted base coat /...

bfwd vs four star paint sealant

That's the idea, although my experience with #7 and souveran is that souveran may outshine 7 on a clearcoat or be just as good. But anyway you've got the right idea just not so sure about your product choice.

Is flex 3401 better then the griots da.

I have a gg6 and an old rotary. I've been thinking about the flex as a nice in between tool. From what I understand about its forced rotation, it isn't exactly comparable to a traditional DA. So I wouldn't mind having a flex, but not because it is better but bevause it is different than my DA.

Help - turtle wax ice wax

Unless you want your windows to fog up, don't use the Ice all surface interior detailer. Been there, done that. Switched to optimum and no fog.

bfwd vs four star paint sealant

Now you're starting to lose me...I've used the WG sealant 3.0 whatever and it seems different to me. Appears to be different. Maybe similar end results, but the BFWD makes my black blacker. The UPP I've never opened the bottle, so I can't opine on that yet.

bfwd vs four star paint sealant

That's cool, then I should be able to use both (back-to-back) on the same car without issues. I don't plan on topping the UPP, other than occasional glaze before a car show. Just want to get the paint good and sealed.
