    Review: iPhone & OtterBox Defender

GREAT REVIEW!! Thanks! I ordered my 6+ yesterday, I'm trading my 5s for it. I just can't do Otterbox, for me it's too bulky. I've used a Faux Otterbox style that's less bulky for years and it's been wonderful for me.

New from the greatest city in the world

Welcome aboard! And don't be skeered - DA's are safe, just don't drop them on the paint - that's about the only way you'll damage it!

should i tell people I'm raising my prices?

I wouldn't and didn't. I just changed them on my FB page and other sites I advertise on. And touching on your other related thread, there's nothing wrong with being nice but business is business. Charge what you're worth. What I started doing is adjusting my prices based on time. I try to get...

    How much would you charge?

Something like that would take me 5-7 hrs. I'd charge probably $240-$250 depending on wax choice etc.

Wheel Brightener, Meguiar's Does it Work?

This is exactly why I stopped using it. Many products on the market that clean just as well that aren't nearly as harsh.

    Professional Detailers list

Anyone in or near (within an hr) of Myrtle Beach/Murrells inlet? I have a leather interior in dire need of help! I'm also a pro "weekend" detailer in Okinawa Japan if anyone needs some TLC for their whip!

    Specialisation detailing business

Interestingly here the majority of queries for my services are for interior. My specialty is exterior - not that I can't do interior but I need to get the proper tools to do it right. IE- steam Machine. I have all the other products, brushes etc. - I'm just not a fan of interior work. My GF /...

Compound drying too fast on DA

I find I have to use LOTS of detail spray to keep it from drying out too fast. Nowadays I only use 105 as a last resort because of dust and it sucking to remove.

Took my wheels to the local tire shop

It's only slander or lible if it can't be proven. The shop in this case would look like fools if they tried to suggest what Brad was saying is inaccurate, because they did in fact eff up his wheels and he can prove it.

What are these little specs all over my paint?

Over spray of some sort would be my guess

Rotary polish on non-painted plastic bumber?

I made the same mistake on the front bumper of an R33 GTR - I thought I was screwed!! And I wasn't even using a rotary, just a Rupes LHR15. M205 and a polishing pad fixed it but I was sweating it pretty bad for a while there!!

Hopefully I have the right product

For an "entry level" buffer I'd recommend Griots Garage or even the Harbor Freight as they have a bit more power over the PC.

If I buy a Flex 3401, Can I Complete any Given Job Faster?

I agree 100% - I have both Rupes and Flex, my LHR15 died not too long ago and it won't be replaced with another Rupes I can tell you that! I just got the PE-14, so I compound with it and finish with the 3401 - best combo IMO.

Sold my car by using this QUICK 2 step prep

Looking good man!! I may have to take a look at Pinnacle products. GL with the Evo too - is it the MR edition?

    Rupes 21 polisher, ISSUE!!!!!!!!?????????

Flex 3401!! It's all you need. Sorry to hear about your luck - my Rupes LHR15 just died a couple weeks ago. Who knows, maybe it's a fluke but I'm less than impressed.

    Decision making

I have 5.5 inch backing plate and 6 inch pads. I have both MF cutting and polishing pads. 1 set from CG and the other set from AG. (LC maybe? I'm not sure of the brand) And a boatload of Foam pads, mostly Hexlogic. 101 definitely dusts less than 105 - but they both can be finnicky to remove...

Water spots and was my car REALLY detailed fully?

He was trying to point out that you shouldn't expect much for $109. I would charge $240 + for that.

Flex 3401 Overkill if I've already got a Rupes 21

For me the 3401 is the best DA on the market - it can do everything well. I've had bad luck with Rupes.

Water spots and was my car REALLY detailed fully?

Without pics it's hard to say for sure but I bet he's got pretty severe etching based on what he's said so far.
