whats the better option for blow drying a car

You got a good point there, I bought the 4hp one because I knew the one with twice the hp would trip a fuse in my garage. Maybe I should have gone for the big one I guess, the one I bought is just taking up space.

whats the better option for blow drying a car

I have a Sears Craftsman shop vac with 6 1/2 hp and a detachable blower which works really great for drying my car. Earlier this year I decided to buy one of the Metro blowers and in all honesty, it does not hold a candle to the shop vac. It's better suited to smaller jobs like motorcycles or...

Absolutely beautifully brought back to life. I'm sure the owner was blown away by the quality of your work. Thanks for sharing the outcome of your hard work Josh, I really enjoyed the writeup and pictures.

    Moving Target: 2003 Acura TL

Unbelievable the nerve some people have. In my opinion you undercharged her for the work you performed and then you get stiffed? It's understood that many less established detailers are reluctant to hand a prospective client a contract to sign feeling that might scare some people away, but the...

    ONR as a quick detailer

Thanks for all the replys. Maybe I should have read the label on the bottle, duh. I think I'll try the 4 onces to a gallon ratio as I would prefer it being a little more slippery then normal. Again, thanks everyone.

    Are Foam Applicator Pads Reusable?

Like Streetlife said, I too caught the yellow foam pads on BOGO sales so I have about 20 of them. If they get at all funky they're dumped but I like what Killrwheels said about giving them a quick cleanup and using them to dress tires. Great idea:xyxthumbs:.

    ONR as a quick detailer

I understand that Optimum No Rinse can be delutted and used a quick detailer which I would want to use as I clay my car. Does anyone know the best ratio to use? Can I really get as good a lubricant value as a regular quick detailer. The car I'll be using it on will only require a fine clay...

    O.C.Detailing (Lynchburg, VA.) - Black 2008 Mercedes Benz S550

What a great job on a really messed up car. I hope the owner appreciates all the work required to bring the car to level you did whether or not he paid you a lot of money for your work. And for heavens sake tell him to stay away from those auto and "touchless" car washed. Nobody should touch...

    the truth for a change

I have also found customer service at AG is second to none. I could find some of the products I use at detailing supply shops in my area but I choose to do my shopping at AG and know should a problem arise, they will be there for me.

    It like Christmas Morning!

I'm waiting for the Porter Cable package I ordered last Sunday during the Memorial Day sale. UPS tracking says it will arrive next tuesday the 8th. They must have been bombed with orders during the long weekend, but it's worth the wait.

    OMG My Central Air Died

I can feel for you. My friends kid me about how cold I keep my house, it's been compared to a meat locker. My complete unit died last year and I went without A/C for about a week before getting it replaced.

OUCH! That hurts to look at!

All you guys have hit the nail so on the head. So many car shows are full of cars with beautiful paint jobs and abused paint finishes. I just don't get it, you spend 5 or 10k for a super job and forget about upkeep.

    Help me pick a Compound/Polish/Sealant/Wax!

Your quite right about Nissans having soft paint, and as you said, Infiniti started using a "self healing paint" on the 2009 models which just erased very minor marks when the paint was warmed by the sun etc.. It doesn't work all to well and Infiniti dropped the use of it on their 2010 cars...
