I like it for more stone/chip/crack protection due to the crazy price of some of these headlamp assemblies! Never really gave the UV protection that much thought, but it is good to know that it will provide some protection...as we all know, many will yellow over time. Eldo: that's some crazy...

^^Not yet. Still have not had time to go back and return/attempt to replace via warranty. It's the power cord at the base of the machine that 'loses contact' from time to time.
