Ever had "just one of those days..."?

Sounds like the day I had when I posted, man just everything went wrong. On a more positive note the next day the paintless dent repair guy was able to get the damage out I did 100%. He was an old client of mine so he let me watch beginning to end, it is truly amazing what these PDR guys can...

Dr Color Chip - anyone order this? How long does it take to ship?

Used it for years, best touch up product out there IMO.

Ever had "just one of those days..."?

Man I should have just stayed in bed :bash: First I had an issue with a business thing that just sucked. Then I went to visit a family member and that didn't go well (just some family stuff). So after that I walk out and notice a dent (ding) in my car, ugh. To make matters worse I feel like I...

Has Turtle Wax stopped making rinse free wash and wax?

Awesome I'll have to look for that. I just got some Ultima WW+ though and I'm loving it!!!

    Finishing Polish

Ultimate Polish is what I use as well, switched from Adam's. I think UP is the same (consumer grade) as your M205 if I'm not mistaken, good stuff :dblthumb2:

Ultima Waterless Wash Plus Concentrate :D

Thanks! Yeah I have too many hours to count into 2 step polishing, it was so painful I just can't bare to spray the dust and wipe (even lite dust) even though I know UWW+ was designed for much worse. I feel like adding the duster step as long as correct technique is used keeps things ultra...

    Incredibly Cheap Finds

That's true, they had a couple left over 32oz bottles of GG interior cleaner for 6.99 on the clearance rack, I jokingly asked if he could do any better and he cut them in half :props: So I got 2 32oz bottles for 7 bucks and then there was a damaged bottle of DUB wheels cleaner there and I asked...

Ultima Waterless Wash Plus Concentrate :D

Ok, so I just got this product. I've been unplugged from the Matrix a while (sometimes I wish I hadn't been) and am always trying to find the perfect system to take care of certain cars. I enjoy washing traditional 2 bucket method but found on my garage queen I just wasn't comfortable...

    MF wash (not Wolfgang)

I'm probably splitting from the herd here, but I've never used any "special" microfiber detergent. I use a "free and clear" HE detergent with no dyes, perfumes, etc, and if a towel is particularly soiled, like hitting trim or a ridge of dirt, I spray it will APC like Simple Green before...

Rinseless Washing Question - How Wet Are Your Towels?

I use 2 bucket method and a mitt, also pre-soak.

    Restoring Tail Pipes...Options?

They run about $800.00 / set new from the dealer, about half that on ebay when you can find them. They are prone to damaging like this from what I've found out so I think the flat black high temp paint is the way to go unfortunately.

    Restoring Tail Pipes...Options?

I'm thinking the black is corrosion that wore off the original metal or something b/c I've cleaned them and hit them with metal polish and it did nothing, not even a slight improvement. I'm thinking I'll have to paint them or have them sandblasted and re-chromed or something...

    Gotta luv that Meg's UC

Yep, I moved to that and ultimate polish as my 2 step go to from a "boutique" brand, love the stuff.

    Restoring Tail Pipes...Options?

Picked up a new toy and inside and out is pristine but the tail pipes have been neglected and now seem destroyed with corrosion or something. I tried metal polish but it did nothing, I'm not sure if a coating has been removed or what is going on with them. I'm thinking of just sanding them and...

    Use Dawn to strip wax?

I use a 50/50 water/rubbing alcohol, or claying will take care of it. I've never used the dawn stuff after reading that it is pretty harsh and not needed.
