Has the coating made it easier to keep the wheels clean?

Couple pictures of my personal car.

That is a pretty sweet set of mods. I have had the usual N54 problems but have to say that the engine has been problem free since the last round of fixes more than a year ago. The engine itself is just beast - I bet even more so when modded like yours. I am always amazed by the highway fuel...

Couple pictures of my personal car.

Nice 135 i with an M-sport kit. Is it powered by the N54 or N55? DavidJ - speaking on personal experience - BMW's reliability can be hit or miss. With my car (a 5 series) it has been mostly a miss because I have had several problems with the N54 twin-turbo. My advice to any new would be BMW...

    Care of MB Tex

I use Einsatz Tiefenplefger and the Tiefenreiniger - but be careful according to folks on the MBWorld forum MB does not recommend the use of microfibers on it.

    Strong Car Wash/Shampoo??

What about using something like an all purpose cleaner? I was thinking Optimum Power Clean. You could premist the car with it or mix it into the wash medium.

Unfortunately I have to drive in rush hour traffic so it is automatic transmission for me. I wish I could have a manual :).

BFWD would work like a charm - it will bring out the sparkle.

    Safe wheel cleaners?

I use that myself, too. But for more stubborn stuff you need something stronger - I would get Griot's HD wheel cleaner.

Griots HD Wheel vs. Megs Wheel Brightener

That is how I would use it. I just bought the bottle and not the gallon to see if I like Griot's HD and for regular washes I love it. As an added benefit a little application of it on my tail pipe makes it look nice and clean. Another option to take a look into would be the BMW Wheel Cleaner...

Griots HD Wheel vs. Megs Wheel Brightener

I have both and by far Wheel Brightener works better on my BMW wheels. Having said that it is nasty stuff that I don't like to use unless really necessary. I am considering getting the Iron X-paste. For my rear wheels I just use diluted Optimum Power Clean without a problem.

Win a Copy of Mike Phillips' Book - The Art of Detailing!

I would like a copy of the book so that I can educate my friends, neighbors and me on how to properly take care of a car. I want to start a "save my car from swirls campaign"

    Recommend me a wheel cleaner

I don't think you are crazy at all. I actually use a combo of OPC and Griot's. If the wheels are not too dirt then I can use OPC. OPC works wonders on my back wheels - and they are perfectly clean when done. The front wheels need something stronger. OPC does a great job at dissolving...

    Recommend me a wheel cleaner

Griot's HD wheel cleaner is my favorite one - seems to work well on my BMW's break dust. If you want to save on shipping costs consider getting the wheel cleaner BMW sells (especially if you can get the 10% BMWCCA discount).

    Anti-Static QD?

FK 425 has some anti-static properties. While I have seen it work here in the DC area in the spring it was not totally anti-static - rather than having all of the pollen stick it was just sticking in certain areas.

    Virgin Alpine White BMW..

Congratulations on the purchase of your BMW - they are awesome cars. I love mine. I am a fan of layering. I use KAIO more as a cleaner/sealant rather than last step product. I always top KAIO. Out of your selection for the winter I would do KAIO and maybe two coats of KSG. Since your car...
