Winter Battle Plan Poll

Upper dessert, Ca we might see a dozen days in the 20's with some rain; light snow so I'm hoping the WG DGPS will make it through winter.

my plan calls for dawning, claying, Klasse SG, Collinite 845. I used only Klasse last year and it made it most of the winter. figured I would top it with a layer or two of collinite and should be good to go. will do the clear coated wheels also.

Four layers of CQ, 2 of WGDGPS, 2 of 845, and 2 of P21s. Then I will QD everyday.

:joking:

I'm too broke to do 4 coats, maybe 3.

Already did my wifes car. Put 2 coats of Megs NXT and will probably add 1 more coat in Oct. or early Nov. Then it's ONR washes for the winter. I'll add another coat of NXT in Jan. if it looks like it needs it. Our garage is heated so it's not so bad working out there.

My daily driver gets nothing! Lucky if it even sees a wash this winter. I just don't care about it and put as little time and money into it as possible. I do keep up on the oil changes but that's about it.

After wash, clay, and correction, 3 coats of Klasse Sealant Glaze and 3 coats of Collinite 845

The fact that we have a winter plan thread already makes me very ill.

:iagree:

Winter makes me think of having to spend some of my money (yeah, right) to buy something for the wife to unwrap on Christmas morning....

Instead of thinking of winter, I am looking towards enjoying the autumn season.
Anyway, IMO...What's wrong with a little procrastination? {Later on this year, when the snow begins to fall, I'll probably say to myself...:doh: }

I plan on claying, stripping the current sealant with p21s paintwork cleanser, starting with menzerna powerlock and finishing with collinite 915.

I'm also investing in waterless washes every time they go on BOGO to keep up the washing off the Iowa winter gunk on a regular basis.

My plan is to get some Iron-X. I want to wash the car, iron x, clay and two coat of FK1000P.

915 topped with 845 is my choice. Then a spray wax between washes keeps me going thru the nasty road salt and various other chemicals they apply to the roads here.

My plain is to remove the Targo top on the vette. Shorts and Tee shirts, sun block, warm breeze in the face. Now that the good weather for Florida is coming. 70 - 75 deg. no humidity. Sorry to hear about the snow storms that are headed your way so soon.

The only type of Ice Fishing we do in the winter is in the feezer section. Or in the frig for Ice tea.....

So do you see why I moved to Florida? I lived in UP - State NY near Buffalo and we had just a little snow.....Oh my god, Feet of the white stuff.

But If any of you come south this winter let me know and I will stoke up the smoker and BBQ.....

1) Not till late October or November

2) Dawn, Klasse AIO, Wolfgang sealant - 2 coats, Pinnacle LS. Then it'll get LS spray after washes until it gets too cold to wash.

It's garaged and I don't use it every day so this will easily last the winter.
It will also last on our other car that isn't garaged, but will of course get thinner by spring.
