Gone from a Coating back to a Sealant?

I have not tried the Hydro02. I will definitely look into it. I've always been a "Meg's guy" and just recently bought my first Wolfgang (WETS) and Carpro (PERL) products. I've been shorting myself. Both products are amazing.

    Gloves?

I have thought about getting the 12" cuff nitrile's also, do you find they stay up without cutting off circulation? I use the fleece when it is what I consider extremely cold (32 - 38 with no sun) just doing a "quick foam and mitt" to get the salt and grime off, with the neighbors staring at me...

    Interior Detailing Questions

I generally like to take my pressure washer and spray the entire interior at 3,000 PSI, followed up by a wet/dry vacuum emptied a dozen or so times. Joking aside (please don't try the above).... It seems you are primarily asking about Carpet/Upholstery. One of the most important steps I...

Gone from a Coating back to a Sealant?

I do enjoy applying waxes and sealants :buffing: But the wife has been known to go rogue and find "soft touch" car washes. Luckily I have an F350 to wax/seal every few months :) By the way the work on your website is amazing and should be respected. Thanks for the input and tips!

Gone from a Coating back to a Sealant?

Thanks Bob! That is very helpful. I have never worked with these "new" coatings so wasn't sure how they cut down. I remember an "As Seen on TV" product from the 90's that was a "coating" and we had multiple customers come in trying to get it off after poor results and it was like polishing...

Gone from a Coating back to a Sealant?

I am considering putting a coating (Cquartz, Gtechniq or similar) on the wife's daily driver. My question is how many of you have gone to a coating then back to a sealant/wax and why? Additionally can you easily remove a coating if you do not like the results? I generally hesitate at "Long...

Should I get a pressure washer?

I consider a pressure washer one of my best purchases. Especially if you get your truck muddy. Removing 90% of dirt/mud/grime prior to hand washing = decreased chance of inadvertent love marks on the paint. Sent from my iPhone using Autogeekonline mobile app

    Iron X (or similar) users

I've noticed many are now using "Iron X" then clay/clay alternative. I'm just curious what advantage this holds? Is clay/clay alternative not as effective in removing the imbedded ferrous particles as we thought it was for quite some years? I'm starting to put detailing up there with cell...

Doing something wrong with Meguiar's Last Detail Spray?

The only thing that I can think of, is due to inadequate lighting you did not see all of the product on the final wipe/buff, therefore missed some. Sent from my iPhone using Autogeekonline mobile app

Any trusted detailers in Utah near Sandy?

This is pretty old, but did you get it taken care of? If a reputable detailer wanted $750 I would suspect perhaps it is beyond "swirl marks" and "holograms".

For those that rent a shop or space

I hope that didn't come across that I thought it was a bad thing. Regardless, your work looks great! Hope you are able to find something that meets your needs. That is a really good point and should not be discounted. Just out of curiosity (mainly because I consider starting my own "part...

For those that rent a shop or space

I looked at your website, but couldn't find if you are currently primarily mobile, or working out of your own garage? Never rented space myself. But my thoughts.... If you are primarily mobile and that model is working for your business, and you just "occasionally" need a shop or looking for...

New car from dealer with micro swirls

I can think of very few industries that "you get what you pay for" applies more to than Detailing. I'm with most of you, I ask the dealership not to wash/prep/anything the vehicle when I purchase it. I do use dealerships for oil changes and routine mechanical service but I always have to...

    New (kind of) from Utah

Hello all! I got on AGO about a month ago, but in a haste to get thoughts on a topic skipped the introduction. As all of you, I have a passion for detailing vehicles, boats, RV's and even ATV/UTV's. My professional detailing experience comes from working in a high volume, quick detail shop...
