    Battery-Operated DA Polisher Available?

Not sure if it'd work that well as a polisher but the Makita 18v DA sander has a 5" velcro pad and something like 5mm orbit. The Makita 18v li-ion batteries are brilliant. I doubt it'd be much good if you want heavy scratch removal etc but a 'normal' polish shouldn't be a problem. When sanding...

    Last step product after coating:RELOAD

Love Reload, got another bottle on the way :) I use it pretty much every wash at 1:2, it's really not needed anywhere near as often as I use it but I love using it so why not?!

    Windshields are not my fav

I find whenever I get smear issues it's because I've over applied the glass cleaner. 2 cloths are essential imo, I spent a long time trying to find a cleaner that could just be wiped on and be completely streak free but in the end I wasn't happy with any of them.

    Carpro Reload vs Duragloss Aquawax

Haven't done a side by side but for my money it's Reload. Mainly because you can't beat reloads water behavior for me.

    Iron-X

There's absolutely stacks of them popping up over here, none have come up to Iron x for me but the closest to it was Bilt Hamber Korrosol not sire if you can get it over the pond though? I'd still use Iron x if the car hasn't been done before or really bad but the BH is great for maintaining a car.

need help with some questiosn - refinishing kitchen cabinets

Bare timber always tends to 'furr up' when something goes on it unfortunately, hardwood is a pain because it has hard grain and soft grain, it's like having a really soft respray on part of a hard paint car but in strips of hard, soft, hard, soft etc. Best thing to do is make sure it's 100%...

RECAP Most Regretted Detailing Product Purchases

Interesting, few purchases I've regretted in there. Is fog fight the original or the new version? If it's the old version that everyone complained about I'd say it's only fair to put that.

UK Detailers Poll Results Best Products

Yep, I'm on DW. DDJ BTBM for some reason people just love wasting money over here, but notice 'AS G101' - why do people like it? Because it's cheap. I don't get it. And why they insist on using Iron X as a routine wheel cleaner I'll never know! Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

    maintaining Cquartz after applied?

Not at all. A drying towel will do the same job but they just want to touch the paint as little as physically possible. you can use whatever you want for drying. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4

One Giant Lexus Gets a One Step Correction & Opti-Coat Installation

Looks fantastic, great write up too! Just a shame no one had come up with a tyre (sorry, tire on here) dressing that lasts as well as paint coatings... Something for the future though Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4

    Cleaning/protecting rubber and plastics

My personal way is to wash the car first then use an APC to clean the plastics/ rubbers then I use a MF cloth to apply my chosen protection. Only because I personally find it easier than with an applicator. If any gets on the bodywork then I just use a clean piece of the cloth to wipe it off...

Painful tingling in hands after polishing.

Just sounds like vibration to me. Try gripping the machine harder. Also you maybe stopping the machine from spinning so its just vibrating back and forth, left and right. It's surprisingly easy to stop a DA/ RO from spinning so you could draw a single thick black line on the backing plate so...

Thanks for that :) IMO your not missing much, I think little to the coatings we have, don't use snowfoam, and out of that list of manufacturers I'd only recommend about 5 products. Of course I haven't used every single one. Perhaps our tarmac is softer than yours? Or perhaps we moan too much...
