    Getting Naked!

I used PPCL for the first time last week and I was really impressed. It left the paint nice and clean and a great starting point for XMT Glaze and Souveran. The car looks great.

Man that was some dirty clay. I am always impressed with NB and how good it looks. I might need to get some.

    Wolfgang: Absolute must haves?

Well I have been using WGDGPS on my car for a while now and I really like the way it makes the metallic in my paint go crazy. However, I am going to go for the super wet look on my car for a bit so I am going with DG 101, XMT glaze, and Souveran.

Post up pictures of your collection...

My collection has grown a bit since my first post. I need a bigger cabinet. I have a lot more MFs and pads and such that aren't picutred.

    2000 Black Corvette

I like 3Ms Perfect-it II Finishing Polish and Foam Pad Glaze (both the formula for dark and light cars). They work awesome with my rotary, but 3M does have some polishes that feel like sand in liquid. Great looking Corvette.

    xmt lineup with the rotary

I can't get any results out of XMT 360 on my rotary. It doesn't seem to have a long enough working time to have any cut.

    LC CCS Pads

I used a LC pad system first. I was detailing a friends car and my backing plate ripped in half. Luckily I did not damage his paint but I was SOL for a bit. Luckily AGs warehouse is about and hour away and Megan hooked me up with a new backing plate. Needless to say I now use the Edge system...

    What Is The Best Rotary?!?!?!

I don't think it is possible to remove swirls with a rotary and not make some sort of hologram. Atleast for me at this point that is true. I just have to do a quick final polish with a white pad and the surface looks crazy. I just did my friends car (gregsgoat) with my rotary. I took 90% of...

    Love Bug Removal

Here's what a 30 minute drive down I95 this morining netted. The car was clean before it left.

    Optimum Car Wash

The DP doesn't smell much better. I don't understand that. Both companies other products all smell great, except their rinseless washes. One of the mysteries of the universe. I use 4-in-1 by the way.

    Love Bug Removal

Oh my there are bad here in Brevard. I have been cleaning the front of my car 2x a day minimum to keep them off. I just took off abour 500 from a 50 mile trip up and down 95 for work. I find that PB bug squash and the Pinnacle scrub thing really do a good job on them. I've also been waxing the...

Quick wash and wax: GTO (56K beware)

I would say that Petes '53 is almost exacly the same as Souveran at half the price. I am going to buy a couple more tubs for long term storage. It has insane wetness and depth but I havent' had time to test durability. Souveran is a little easier to apply, but that's really splitting hairs. I...

Quick wash and wax: GTO (56K beware)

The Petes '53 is real nice. I am very happy with it. Here are some pictures in the sunlight for a good idea of what it looks like with good light.

Quick wash and wax: GTO (56K beware)

Yeah I know, not exactly a wash/wax only. But it was quick. I had the whole process done in about an hour and fifteen mins max. I only waxed the hood/front bumper/fenders to keep a good layer of protection on the paint.

Quick wash and wax: GTO (56K beware)

So with all the lovebugs currently smashing into cars here in Fl I have been removing them from my car 2x a day. I decided since I had time tonight to wash the car and get all them off completely. Also I wanted to put another coat of wax on the front just to make sure that I am completely...

    Detail Q: MB S500 Black

I don't think you will make any progress without a decent cutting pad on the typically hard MB paint. I don't want to use a PC on a german car because it doesn't cut fast enough to get through the swirls without mulitiple passes. Always try the least agressive combo first, but don't be...
