Sully's Detailing: CTS Headlight Restoration and Wax

Nice job for sure! A friend of mine has an '05 CTS and I did some work to the headlights earlier this year. His were a bit hazy, but not nearly as bad as those, however, they were pitted pretty bad and required sanding. Restored headlights really make the car!

    Temperature question

Not sure about some of the nicer waxes sold here, but two years ago, before I was into AG, I waxed my car at about 35* outside using some Meguiar's Gold Class liquid wax. It worked just fine and looked just as good as when it was done in the summer. Actually, come to think of it, I think I...

    303 Aerospace

I just received my BOGO 303 AP the other day and got a chance to use it on a few items on my mother-in-laws '06 Cobalt that I detailed for her. I used it on the dash, center console, door panels, side mirrors, door seals, and dressed underhood plastic with it. I can honestly say that I am very...

    Wet-look wax: Dodo,PB,P21 ?

They both seem to have about the same wet look, but the Fuzion lasts much longer. I do think that the Souveran looks a little deeper then the Fuzion on flat colors like red and black, but the Fuzion does a little better with lighter colors and colors with flake in them. To be 100% honest with...

    Wet-look wax: Dodo,PB,P21 ?

I very much agree with this. There is no reason to use expensive waxes for daily driven cars unless the owner specifically asks for a high end carnauba wax. Almost all of your customers will not even be able to tell the difference between Meguiar's Gold Class wax and Pinnacle Souveran, so why...

    Priceless Silverado

Oh believe me, he REALLY likes to go playing in the mud as well! My other toy is a '94 S10 Blazer with a v8 sitting on 33" tires that I take in the mud and on the trails, you should see his grin in that thing :dblthumb2:

    How much for the wax!?!?!!

I have Souveran, Fuzion, Meg's #21 2.0, and have sampled Natty's Blue not to mention I still have a bottle of Meg's Gold Class laying around. Souveran and Fuzion were worth some of the price alone because of the ease of use! I do feel that they both have their own distinct look on various...

    Priceless Silverado

Peyton seen me detailing a Trailblazer the other day and was pretty jealous, so we had to do his up as well. He is still new to this, but you can't convince him that a rim brush is not for the body and a carpet brush is not for plastic seats Spraying it down Wash time He already knows...

    Some headlight restoration

I have considered that and may just do that, but who knows. For now I will just continue to keep them good and clean and make sure to keep a good coat of sealer on them and see how it goes. I want to see if proper care will help to prevent this issue so bad in the future.

After countless hours spent trying to edit code and get the colors right, my friend Chris and I finally have our site Daily Driven Autosport up and running LOL I mentioned it back on the first page, but it was not up at the time. We still have a long way to go on it, but it is getting there...

    Some headlight restoration

The paint peeling on the hood is a very common problem with the 2000+ Bonnevilles, something to do with the aluminum hood and the wrong primer I think. It needs to be blasted then repainted. That and the rest of the front clip will be repainted some day LOL
