Best way to remove residue Menzerna 4500?

Hello everyone, today I first ever tried Menzerna 4500 with LC CCS Gray pad. I polished a small section, say 1.5 ft x 2 ft, for a minute or so, then I still saw thin layer of residue of 4500. I found it was very hard to wipe off it with a dry MF towel. So I used much amount of QD to wipe off the...

    3m head light restoration

I love the 3" orange pad that came with the kit and am using it for paint compounding now. I want to buy a same pad but cannot find as an individual product. Is a 3M blue pad equal to the orange pad in the restoration kit?

    What about Mother's products?

I love Mother's microfiber that came with a clay kit which was my first microfiber and clay. The towel is awesome. One of other experiences of Mother's is a cleaner wax that was I think one generation older version and it was one of the two detailing products that I ever thrown into a trash bin...

    Dilutuion % of IPA

If it could help the wax better bond to the paint, I prefer it. Quite often the residue of SwirlX and M205 is not easily wiped off with dry MF, so I used QD for removing any visible residue. But now I think IPA will not leave anything behind than QD might do, while cleans the paint as QD does. I...

    Dilutuion % of IPA

Hi, I am planning to use IPA to wipe off the paint clean after polishing (with Meg 205) and before paste wax. I got a 70% IPA bottle, does anyone know what dilution percentage is best for this purpose? Thanks

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

I used BFMS on the roof and the hood, P21S on the fender and the front face, spray wax on doors. P21S was much easier to apply and wipe off than BFMS. No snow here in central Florida :)

    Made in USA vs world

It attracts me if a product is made in Germany, Japan, or US (or even NOT China). But for car detailing products it is very rare the country origin makes me decide which one to buy. Only item I remember that I picked up mostly because it is German made is P21S wax. :)

Almost Called Police On Detail Job Today

The son ordered the job to you so the client shall be the son not that crazy father. Basically you must deal with the client, the son, for the payment, etc. However, seeing the father being crazy like that, how you can trust his son being a good person???

    curious about glazes...in general

From what I have learned, glaze will (1) fill and hide micro scratches, (2) nourish paint by giving oil to the paint, (3) be better used on aged, solid color paint. My understanding is newer clear coated paint would not need glazing.:)

    Collinite 845 too good

About a year after I begun car detailing as a hobby, I tried collinite 845 because I found it was available in my local auto parts store. I tried it on a hood of my daily driver. I really realized the difference from other $10-$20 priced wax. After months and rains and rains, it does not...

    Collinite 845 woe or not?!?!?!

I remember when I first opened the bottle I had some difficulties to get the staff out because I did not know that it should be warmed up prior to use. For the second time i warmed it up as i saw somewhere in this forum, ever since then the content remains more like liquid.
