I also use the flooding method before I dry. I completely underestimated how effective this is. My only other suggestion would be to dry all of the horizontal surfaces first, as the water is less likely to run off on the hood/roof/trunk compared to the doors and fenders.

Poli-coat sealant

Is this a "pet" fox that is in some type of enclosure, or just a casual observation of the wilflife in your back yard?

Duragloss Aquawax might not last that long (I haven't tested durability with it), but it goes on extremely easy, and beads/looks awesome. Just give it a quick spray after drying, and it's as easy to remove as any detail spray. Definately worth a look, if you want a stand alone spray product, but...

Is there still residue on the paint, or is it etched into the paint? If there are above surface contaminants you could try using a clay bar to remove it. However, if hand polishing didn't remove it, I would have to imagine you are talking about below surface contaminants, which means you have to...

In the second picture with your pad loaded up with the 105; it looks like you just got done detailing your flex! That thing is clean as a whistle! (a really clean whistle)

It sounds like you might get better results if you switch pads for the 205, and poli-seal. If you didn't get good enough results from the 205 with a gray pad, than using the white pad with 205 will get some of the swirls that the gray pad wasn't getting. If you still think there is more that can...

The optimum appears to have a "wetter" look; do either products feel greasy or slippery after they dry? What are you planning on doing with the cushion before "installing" it? Clean off the 1z, and put optimum on the whole cushion?

I would love to try both of these products! I am more interested in when these pads will be available for purchase...? I have plenty of sealant, but this is another one that is just to hard to resist. I am kind of a pad ####, and love to try different pads!

Sticking with the "start with the least aggressive product, and work your way up" theory, I wouldn't even consider wet-sanding as an option untill I have already tried some of the more aggressive pad/product combos. If you're trying to get an order together, I would consider the 105/205 combo...

Interesting... I would have never thought someone uses a rotary to put swirls back into a paint finish...
