D114 is really really economical as a waterless wash & clay lube.

GD Method with Uber (bought D114 but haven't used it yet). Panel by panel, spray D156 then wipe it off (which also dries). Flip towel to dry side to buff.

Think it's likely glue and not sap. Comes down straight from license plate area, as if something had been glued into place and the glue ran.

Tried a generic fabric softener sheet; didn't help. Tried Magic Eraser; didn't help.

Isopropyl alcohol had no real effect.

Does sap dry almost white like that? Would it drip down like that? The drips are why I thought it was something like glue. Have not tried a tar remover. Is TarX the best one?

2006 Prius with gray metallic paint. Has some glue like substance on the metal hatch near the license plate and on the adjacent plastic bumper. No idea what it is or how long it's been there. APC had no effect. Degreaser had no effect. Goo Gone had very little effect. Any suggestions?

Any when those wheels get scratched up, there's now bare metal exposed. Not going to repaint unless someone is paying me to do so, but don't want to make things worse either.

What about on the cheap steel wheels many econoboxes have?

I was thinking of doing clients' cars, and wanting to maximize timespan before problems arise. If a little layer of Opti Seal extends the life of the lens, so be it. How long after applying Opti Lens would I need to wait?

It was an audiobook of The Art of Detailing, which I would want in print if at all. Can't use an audiobook as a reference. I'm guessing they were just stuck with a bunch that weren't selling. If you tell people they're getting $50 worth of something with an order, then they expect $50 worth...

In another thread, someone said they used deionized water to mix their rinseless washes so that they wouldn't need to dry the car. The water just evaporates without leaving water spots. Does this work with distilled water as well? Anyone else use this method?

My "free gift valued at $50" was something you're selling for $13 which comes free with orders over $250 (my order was $235 before discount). Not happy.
