    How often?

:iagree: You do it when it needs to be done basically. How often I polish my silver car kept outside 24/7 in MA has no relevance to how often you'll need to polish your car. It also depends on how picky you are. If you're super picky then spot polishing is something you'll do often.

    FLEX 3401 "power" question...

:iagree: I too LOVE the Edge system. Sadly when I bought my Flex there was no Edge adapter. So, I traded out all my Edge stuff for LC pads. The cost would be great at this point to switch back especially since the Edge Flex adapter is so expensive.

    4" pads on 3" polisher?

Interesting question. I just bought the Griot's 3" because I have a Flex. Along with the 3" polisher I bought some 4" hydro-tech pads. If the machine can't handle the larger pads then I'll have to exchange them for some of the 3" Griot's pads.

    What camera's...

I'm not surprised BB wouldn't match Amazon. I figure with my Reward Zone silver membership the BB gift cert. I'll get back will help to match whatever lower price I might find. I think I got the 8 gig card. I'll have to look as I can't remember. I just remember that whatever card I got...

    What PDA are you using?

I have an iPhone now. It's pretty good as a PDA but is AWFUL as a phone. AT&T's coverage is HORRIFIC and I live just outside of Boston. You would think coverage would be unbelievable around a major city. In fact, I once had a dropped call in the city. WTF is up with that? Before the iPhone...

    What camera's...

:iagree: I just got a D3000 from Best Buy for $499, plus I added on the 55-200 Nikkor anti-vibration lens for an extra $150.

    Spraymaster Trigger Sprayer

I have several Spraymaster bottles and I've never had a problem with one. This is the only sprayer I've ever owned that will stand up to Megs Wheel Brightener. I've had the same sprayer on my WB bottle for at least two years and I don't even empty it out after use.

    PR: Auto Geek Foam Gun

I can see why some people would feel that way. It's much easier to throw a foam gun on the end of a hose instead of lugging out and setting up a pressure washer. If it weren't for the fact that I use my pressure washer every time I wash my car I probably wouldn't use the foam cannon as much...

    Natural finish for interior vinyl?

I have to say I was thinking of getting some myself after all the positive comments I've been reading on AGO lately. However, I read, re-read, and re-reread the AG product description and nowhere does it say this product offers any kind of protection what so ever.

    Natural finish for interior vinyl?

:iagree: Meguiar's Quick Interior Detailer leaves your plastic/vinyl looking new not matte or shiny. It just looks NEW and I believe it leaves some UV protection behind. Personally, I like DP Interior Protectant quite a bit. I don't find it shines, but it does darken plastics/vinyl. Plus...

    PR: Auto Geek Foam Gun

I bought a foam gun (non-Autogeek but same manufacturer) way back when they first hit the scene. I really wasn't happy with it and returned it. Later I picked up a foam cannon and I'm extremely pleased with it. There's just no comparison.

Griot's Garage 3" Mini Polisher - Extreme Demo - Warning!

Nice demo Mike! Since I sold off my PC when I got my Flex I need something for tight areas. This could be it!

Commercial Bulk alternative to Hot Rims Chrome?

I usually dilute my WB to 3:1. If it doesn't come off after a couple of treatments of that and some scrubbing then it ain't coming off.

    Flex 3401 or G110v2

:iagree: The Flex is pretty noob friendly. It's much more powerful than the PC and so extra caution needs to be taken with it, but it's still a really safe machine with a steep learning curve when compared to a rotary. One thing I learned when moving to a Flex is that it's a good idea to...

Commercial Bulk alternative to Hot Rims Chrome?

:iagree: Depending on how far you dilute it WB can be much more effective than Hot Rims. I also find WB to be more powerful than Poorboy's Spray & Rinse (great wheel cleaner just not as strong). Just be careful with WB as it's a stong acid. You don't want to get it in cuts, inhale the mist...

Your opinion on this car washing advice

The only kind of brush you should ever let touch your car's paint is a boar's hair brush. I will say though it's possible that those scratches (or at least some of them) were there all along. Many dealers prep cars with polishes that contain a lot of fillers. The first time it rains or you...

    Flex 3401 or G110v2

If you polish using traditional methods and not KBM then I would get a Flex. I have one and it's definitely cut down on the time it takes to polish a car. Plus, I'm able to remove deeper defects faster with the Flex vs. the PC. Keep your PC around though. You can still use it with 4" pads...

Why not make the market competitive?

:iagree: Up until pretty recently (maybe a couple years ago) 90% of the detailing enthusiasts you spoke to who were using an orbital were using a PC. Of course, at the time there was also a Griot's version and the Meguiar's G100. All were the exact same machine and even looked exactly the...

    Flex DA smaller pad conversion?

:iagree: The larger Edge pads are 6" and then the even larger pads are 8" I believe.
