Garden hose Quick connector, shut off valve and fire hose nozzle

I use Dramm shutoff valve and quick connects, they have held up well over the years.

Best type of vehicle for mobile detailing?

I would think a van is ideal. A small trailer for tank and possibly generator would leave more space inside the van for chemicals and supplies.

    Seeking opinions: V7 or AW?

LOL on the "special paint", and you're correct: I have FK425 which rarely gets used that amps up the shine, but was looking for a little protection between full details. Thinking I'll go with either AW again, or possibly the 156 depending on current pricing (whatever is on sale at the time)...

    Seeking opinions: V7 or AW?

Although I originally started this thread with AW vs V7, now I've been reading about Megs D156 and think that may be a better alternative instead of the V7. The debate in my mind continues.

    Seeking opinions: V7 or AW?

I used up my gallon of AW, and figured I would use some of the OCW I had, but not really digging the OCW (been spoiled by AW). I recently read this thread and most were praising CG V7, but before I made the leap I wanted to get opinions of AW vs V7. I mostly use it after drying (with the leaf...

    Hoses..

I've been through a lot of hoses over the years, have recently settled on Craftsman rubber hoses and don't think I'll be using anything else. Not sure what your intended use is (possibly mobile I'm thinking), but I'm not a fan of coiled hoses: used them with my air compressor and they're a pain...

Driving behind someone, what frustrates you?

I agree with most everything on here. Living in south Florida, one other thing is when it's raining hard and people on the highway drive with their hazards on. If you're not comfortable driving in the rain then pull over to the side of the road.

Just saw the AG commercial on Mecum

Looking good Mike. I was telling my wife "I was in that room", from one of the detailing class. She was saying "oh boy", just like back when I was a meter reader for the electric company and used to point out all the streets and yards I walked down.

What's in your trunk - do you keep a clean up kit?

A bottle of PB S&W, and a MF.

    Porta 7424 - $40

Go for it, a very useful tool. Plug it in and check it out before handing over any money. If it works, you can't go wrong at that price.

Horrible things you've seen walking by cars.

Agreed, I corrected my Father In Law's black Chevy 1500 some time back, and I gave him a foam gun, mitt, soap, etc. and I see him using a cheap sponge and single bucket. At least it took > 2 weeks like the Maxima, but seeing my efforts and products go to waste is a little frustrating.

    how many pads to use?

Not just starting out, but as the bug really gets you and you're on the quest for "the best" product it gets worse.

From "APC's" to specialty products. Help

I've been using Charlie's soap around the house and in the vehicle (diluted properly), very economical and effective.

How do you get the roof when you're short?

Yep, I did the same thing (don't recall if it was Black Friday or xmas eve special) but got it half price. It's the only way I can reach the roof of my wife's Sequoia.

    Drying your car...leaf blower style!

I have an electric one I bought off Craigslist for the campsite to blow leaves off the carpet outside the camper, plus this one I use around the house and for drying the car. This thing is a beast..
