Water Beading, does this looks right???

He wants a sheeting wax. Actually i prefer a wax that sheets water away from the paint rather than have them bead. I think you need the Autoglym HD Wax, i'm looking into getting one too, but it's too expensive. My sister can't find the $35 in any walmart in CA. :)

Bought a DeWALT DW443 Dual Action Sander/Polisher! Help...

Re: Bought a DeWALT dual action sander/polisher! Help... You aren't going to get much correction from 85rd. It was meant for jeweling like you said. For swirl removal, you might want to use a more aggressive polish such as 205 or Nano. Try those on and you will surely get a better result as...

When do you guys use IPA wipedowns

APC will work the same as IPA, but a QD will most likely not remove polish residue and/or fillers. So if you're more comfy with APC, it also serves the same purpose, except IPA is cheaper (here at least) :) After every polishing step and before Sealant/Wax application. No need to do an IPA to...

    My Baby Is Finally Here!!

lol! I remember polishing the refrigerator and ruining both my wool pad and ht pads with single stage paint. :) 6.5" pads don't have bad rep, they aren't just preferred on DAs with the exception of flex and rotaries. Those Das just don't have the power to keep the pad rotating while pressure...

So since you clayed it, i would assume that didn't help. May be you can try some kerosene, 3m adhesive remover, paint safe apc..i would personally try those in that order. If all of those fail, i would try the plastic blades AG has, if that fails too, some wetsanding should surely cure that...

    Flex XC3401 4" Pad Question

For the smaller areas, you can just do them by hand if getting an XP is out of the question. OR you can fabricate a smaller BP for the flex, i read a post about someone who has successfully cut his BP down. You might want to consider that. :)

Well done. I guess you just need to lessen the amount of clay you use next time, just to avoid unnecessary wastage. It's too much for a fender. I would say the amont you had in your hand is good for half, if not your entire car. :)
