What would you charge for this??

It is more work than you think! As far as the aluminum polishing goes, prices in my area are $50 per wheel, and $1.00 per gallon for fuel tanks. That looks like a 5000 gallon tank, which is HUGE. $550 is a minimum in my opinion...

    What PC setting for AIO?

Dittos on 5-6 on my PC, with D151 and XMT360. I have used both of those with a rotary as well with decent results. Short working time on 6.

    Marauder (Black) Detail

Awesome job! Big, big cars for sure. Here's a link to one I did last year. Since then I started using Menzerna PO285RD, I wish I had it for this car, your results with the Menz products are excellent. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/26555-mercury-marauder-black-wrong-hands.html

    Haze on black paint

I've never been happy with M205's finish on black. Menzerna PO85RD via blue 5.5" LC CCS does however make me very happy!

Lake Country Pad Failure? or User error?

I'll throw my experience into the mix here, although it may not apply to Maxima Dad. After several years of use, the OEM PC backing plate began to separate from the Velcro, causing a distinct pressure point where the Velcro material curled towards the pad. I blew through a few pads prematurely...

What do you use to strip your cars wax?

Another vote for Dawn. I let it dwell for as long as possible.

    Need advice.

I started out with the Griot's pads and have had some outstanding results with my PC and GG polishes. I've since added a Makita, M105/205 and Lake Country products, among others. They each have their place, and I would recommend you fine tune your technique with what you have before spending a...

    What's Protecting a Brand New Car's Finish?

I'm in my fourth year detailing for hire part time, and have been doing my own for over 15 years. This year for the first time I have had a brand new vehicle come into the shop, as a matter of fact three of them. All 2010's, none with more than 3,000 miles on the clock. While certainly not...

    Leather steering wheel

I also use Griot's Interior Cleaner, but I find on some cars a MF towel damp with clean water leaves a nice finish.

    Collinite 845

As many others have stated, the key is thin and wet. Keep it warm and shake vigorously. I place it in a bucket of warm water and shake. Then I shake it some more, placing it back in the bucket in between panels. LC CCS black or Griot's red, both on 4 on the PC.

    Souvearn

I tried it tonight for the first time on my black Suburban. Very impressive indeed, however some Collinite 845 will be on by December.

    What's In Your Detailing Arsenal

This is another thread that as I was reading it I was thinking "These guys have a lot of stuff!". So I decided to take an inventory. I was a little surprised at how much "stuff" I have of my own. Car Wash: Griot’s Garage Car Wash, WAB Ultimate Truck Wash, Dawn, all with Griot’s MF Mitts...

I want to amend my initial impressions of XMT360

I also just made my first XMT360 purchase on BOGO too. I've been using Meg's D151 with good results, and Griot's One Step Sealant with excellent results. I can't wait to use the 360 this weekend!
