    Advice in the detailing process

I tried it last year by hand but didn't get the results I wanted so I'm using the DA this year. Its so hard to get information on it, I end up going to various forums in Britain actually. I look forward to being able to change the cut so easily with the pad though.

    Advice in the detailing process

I'm a hobby detailer so I was already getting the HF DA but I was going to use the glaze where it was because I was following the flowchart on autogeek.

    Advice in the detailing process

I've had various posts for help on small things so I figured I'd make one to get a final set of answers. Basically I'm getting a DA polisher for the next detailing season and I'm immensely improving the amount of products I use in hopes of getting the best shine. Basically I'm working on a black...

    DA Pad choice

It seemed like the best glaze I could get on amazon for a decent price. I'm open to suggestions I just need it to be reasonably priced and on Amazon or OTC.

    DA Pad choice

While I wait out the winter I'm planning out my process for the next chance I get. I'm placing a large order on Amazon soon and have picked out Meguiars M20 Sealant and Chemical Guys Extreme Shine EZ Creme Glaze. I have never worked with any type of sealant or glaze before so I just need advice...

    Gtechniq P1 Polish

I don't know if anyone has used this polish before, but once it gets warmer I was going to use it with a DA and was wondering if I should use foam or wool pads as I have found mixed ideas on other forums. :buffing:

    DA Polisher pads

Thanks for all the advice. I noticed many said I should be rotating pads, how often should I be doing that and when am I able to rotate back to the original pad.

    DA Polisher pads

Another stupid question because I'm this clueless. Would you apply with one pad and then remove with a completely separate pad, thus needing 2 of each pad I get.

    DA Polisher pads

Thanks for the help and I know this will sound really stupid but I'm assuming cutting is compounding

    DA Polisher pads

Since I'm just doing family and friends and I don't have excess cash to use on this I'm just going with the Harbor Freight DA.

    DA Polisher pads

I have finally picked out a polisher and a backing plate for it, but now I'm lost trying to figure out what pads I need to get. I look at all the pads out there but the colors and their uses don't make any sense. Can someone please tell me what cut I should use for each stage of the process...

    Car Cleaning help

Regular Terry Towels I picked up at BJs, nothing fancy but they're cheap and I can use them on almost anything I do with the car. They are intended to be used on cars though.

    Car Cleaning help

I managed to get outside and clean the car finally and noticed something odd. I used the two bucket method and was using Gtechniq Gwash and cleaned with a relatively new microfiber wash mitt. After rinsing it off I was drying with a white terry towel and found that there was light dirt/grime...

    Pricing Help

The plan was to save the quik detailer for people that come back for touch up washes. Although i may use quik detailer after I wax because i have found that it adds shine to dark paints and adds more water beading.

what comes first, spray wax or QD?

If it is like two days later then you shouldnt need the quick wax because the wax you put on is still fine. If you just want to get off light dust then the quick detailer should do the trick without the quick wax. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
