first time PC users, need help with products list

The porter cable is great and very user friendly. I was a first timer with it as well. I agree with above about the 5.5" pads and getting more of the orange, white and gray.

My never ending project: New paint on my 5.0

Had a few spots to fill but nothing major. Only had one spot on the passenger door that had some rust. I also used two different colors of hardener in my filler so that if I had to go over the same spot twice I could see my progress better. With 3 coats of primer I had hours and hours of...

My never ending project: New paint on my 5.0

I did 3 coats of primer with a guide coat each time. Each time being wet sanded and working down those high and low spots. Got a new front and rear bumper as well. Here's the spoiler and the Cobra front bumper insert.

My never ending project: New paint on my 5.0

Thanks, I try to keep reminding myself that I really do love this stuff. The "time" has been the hardest part about this project. I've spent many late nights out in the garage after the kids go to bed. Just turn on some tunes and go to work.

HELP! My First Kit - Confused

^^^^This^^^^ I too am just getting into this and I had/have the same overwhelming feelings you do. But I watched just about every one of mikes videos and it really helped. I bought the porter cable with 5.5" pads and dove into the meguiars products. The porter cable is very user friendly. Good luck.

    Jumper cables...

I've never used them but I'd dare say that craftsman is a pretty good brand. And 4 gauge will be plenty big for your vehicle.

    ?'s regarding fiberglass hardtop

I don't think it should be a problem at all. As a lot of things are wet sanded and buffed the day after being painted. I am in the process of doing this exact thing on my new fiberglass hood. It was painted maybe 2 months ago. I just got done wet sanding it yesterday and hopefully be buffing on...

I just recently started using my leaf blower for drying after I joined this forum. I love eliminating all of those drips before they even have a chance to drip.
