    Attention Mobile Detailers!!!

I ended up canceling the detail and rescheduling for the spring. The RV owner understood. The high ended up being 35F but only 23F with wind chill.

    Attention Mobile Detailers!!!

For all of the guys who detail on the go and battle the weather day in and day out... What's the coldest temperature you will detail in? Have you found any products, primarily wax, sealants, or exterior products that are effected by the cold? I have a 32ft RV scheduled to detail tomorrow and we...

Is anyone using Square to take payments?

I currently use it and find it to be a breeze. Very user friendly and quick money deposit. It allows you to take payment over the phone as well via manual entry vs card swipe function.

I have not used either but have been looking into getting a set of buffing wheels.

    Optimum Metal Polish

I prefer to use the Flex 3401 with pads mentioned above for the large surfaces along with the Meguiars Dyna Cone and lots of elbow grease! Around the spokes, I use cheap, short nap towels to work in, out, and thread in between.

    Optimum Metal Polish

I love to use the Wolfgang Metal Polishing Wool pads(link below), however I do use Lake Country Cutting pads at times on less oxidized surfaces. http://www.autogeek.net/wool-metal-polishing-pads.html

    Need help removing Tar

The best product I have found for tackling tar is Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover... This is the only turtle wax brand product in my shop, but I aware by it! Spray it on, let it soak for 3-5mins, come back and wipe away! I've tried several products like Trix or TarX and have never had the luck...

    Meguiar's #7 soak - no garage

I would recommend a minimum of 5hrs... Best practice from my experience is to let the first round soak 10-12hrs the second and third round 3-6hrs.

    Meguiar's #7 soak - no garage

I agree with Mike... I've done a few number 7 soaks outside with no problems! The biggest thing is to pay attention to the removal process and not rub debris or foreign particles into the paint causing scratches or damage to the paint!

    Kenworth - Semi Detail

Actually it took us 20hrs... 3 guys for 6 hrs and one guy for 2 hrs that came in to help get it washed and interior detailed! We rely heavy on the power tools and good quality chemicals to turn these semis around!

    Kenworth - Semi Detail

Thanks! No problem! Semi's aren't the easiest but sure are rewarding in the end when they are all cleaned up!
