    wash car after m105/205 ?

I'll usually use a QD to get rid of the dust in some of the worst areas. Mostly the hood as it seems to like to collect there for some reason.

    CFL bulb failure

My bathroom has one of those light strips that has 6 lights in it. We noticed that two of the lights burnt out more than others. We replaced them with CFLs and they still burnt out after about 2 months.

    Paint still rough after claying

Would the 50ml sample be enough for one car?

    My new daily driver :)

I think having them "detail" it is the right choice in this case. Not only is it already marred, but you've got a new baby on the way (grats!) and who knows when you'll have time to actually get out there and get it fixed up. A little protection now is probably a good idea.

    Paint still rough after claying

2011 Only some spots seem to stay rough. I don't remember the exact panels, but it's more than just the horizontal ones. Some of the vertical ones are still rough. I don't think the car has been repainted, but I really couldn't tell you. Before I owned it, it was owned by Ford as a company...

    Paint still rough after claying

I don't think so. I would clay until it felt like the clay was gliding smoothly. Then I would wipe off the lube and feel the results. Still "gritty". I would then refold the clay and try again, but this time the clay would be clean. The feel after the second time was also still "gritty".

    Unhappy with my drying towel

I too like this towel. Any surface that is horizontal I use this towel to blot the water up. It works remarkably well. It also works very well on the front of my Mustang where lots of water LOVES to hide. For the vertical panels I use the cobra guzzler. By far it's way better than the Megs...

    Paint still rough after claying

I've clayed before but never really paid a whole lot of attention to what the paint felt like after though. Today I clayed my Mustang. It really needed it. It was a used car and I believe this is the first time it has been clayed. Some sections had the clay coming out very dirty. I'm using...

    Let's talk about Cobra Microfibers

I've really been digging my cobra microfiber waffle weave drying towels. The guzzlers. They're spiffy. I'm also really digging my rolled edge towels. They're totally perfect for the removal of polishes. In my experience they don't work as well with a QD. I find them to be too "grabby" on...

    AG: ANYTHING but peanuts! Please...

These are so much better. There was a reason why they didn't catch on, and it was a pretty horrible one if I remember. It didn't have anything to do with the environment, something else about their cost or possibly a lawsuit of some sort.

    Wash n' Rinse Thoughts

I've tried to wash, rinse, dry each section at a time before. It takes a long time as the dried sections inevitably get wet again. On the other hand I had no water spots to deal with after.

    microfiber towels - 16X16 or 16X24 ?

For removing polishes or waxes I prefer 16x16. For QD work or drying I prefer larger 16x24 towels.

    It's A Foam Party!!!

I won't be getting the cannon as I don't have a pressure washer (nor do I want one at this time), but the foam gun looks like it works well too. Do you really need the two bucket method if you're foaming? Couldn't just the rinse bucket and a grit guard work as well? Is that just an "extra"...

    Cleaning Microfiber Cloths

I use DP MF cleaner for all my MF towels. I'll wash the wax/QD/drying towels in one load, the polish towels in a second load and the interior/wheel towels in a third load. My interior/wheel towels are a different quality than the others which is why they're in a different load.

    It's A Foam Party!!!

Those are some awesome pictures! I love the idea of a foam gun. I didn't at first but after reading more about them and seeing pictures it looks like a ton of fun. Is the quart sized foam gun large enough to do a single car in one pass? I've got to get me one of these things.

    How would you handle this

Just tell him you've moved on and no longer need his services. If he presses you, ask to speak with the sales manager and explain the situation to him.
