    What car should I get?

Only buy new if you expect to keep the car until the wheels fall off. The depreciation on cars is insane. If you think you'll want to change cars in the near future (< five years), used is more economical. I like Hyundai because of their warranty. The V6 Genesis is supposed to be a really...

Alternative Method Cleaning Pads On Fly?

If you could find a way to hold the towel down on a bench with some clamps, that would probably also work. You could also probably use a stool if it were stable enough.

    Review: Metro Master Blaster

There was some thought that part of drying off the rinseless wash "spread" it over the panel leaving a thing layer of polymer's behind. What we need here is an in depth, scientific study where half the car is blown dry and the other half is towel dried. Then we'll pour a bunch of mud all over...

    Philosophical discussion of LSPs

I'm not a pro. What I want out of my LSP is durability with a very close second being good looks. If something looks totally crazy awesome but is only going to last two weeks, it's not for me. If something only looks crazy awesome but will last me 3-6 months, I'm more more interested in that...

My Walmart doesn't have any of the cool stuff.

What kind of sprayers are you using with a rinseless wash?

When I pre-soak, I found a pressure bottle. It has a pump at the top and a trigger. It cost 5 dollars at Big Lots.

does anyone use a wash n wax soap?

I don't understand. Why would you ever get rid of that truck?! My parents use the wash n' wax from Megs. They seem to like it a lot.

Looking to take my paint to the next level...

Get the machine first. If you find a product that works for you, keep with it. If you order more than 50 dollars in stuff from Autogeek, you can request a free sample of Blackfire Wet Diamond paint sealant and try it out. If you don't like it, just remove it with a Dawn wash and go back to...

    Shipping Held Until Promo Day?

They were probably especially busy with Detail Fest also. Not that the warehouse workers would be out there doing DF stuff, but I'm sure they needed to pull stuff off the shelves for DF.

Bruiser after a quick QD wipe down, she's ready for a new coat :)

I wish I would have thought of a snappy plate when I was registering my car. All of the ones I came up with were uber lame, so random numbers for me!

    Rinseless Question

Very much so. You don't want to scrub with a rinseless wash. The weight of the wash medium (wash glove, sponge, etc) and the rinseless wash should do the job. Use something dedicated to bug removal for the bugs.

    Vacuum ?

Kind of on the same topic, but for vacuums that also act as blowers, do you guys use them as both or go with a dedicated vacuum/blower pair?

    Wet-sanded through OEM clearcoat

Would the body shop charge you more if you tried it yourself and the results weren't very good? I can't imagine why they would as their job would be the same.

    Rinseless Question

Grit guard in your rinse bucket for sure. Some people like to put it in the wash bucket also, but that limits the amount of rinseless wash you can reach. A pre-soak using a spray bottle with a premixed solution of rinseless wash is also a good idea. Knowing when NOT to use a rinseless wash is...
