Philosophical discussion of LSPs

For my customers
Wax = polyseal wiped off with Ocw
Sealants depending on paint condition and package = duragloss 501, or 601/111, or 501/601/105
Coating = opti guard
Maintenance wash/vac customers griots spray wax as a drying ad with a pinch of protection
Shows cars turtle wax after 30 hours of correction and no one can tell... Just kidding lol but really they wouldn't be able to
 
I use Nubas 9 out of ten times because "I like them". Thats about as philosophical as I get!
 
I would add that one shouldn't generalize paste waxes as not having the durability of sealants - after the Klasse twins, the most durable LSPs I've had on my car have been a pair of paste waxes - Supernatural Hybrid (ok, not a pure carnauba) and Bilt Hamber Finis Wax. These did better than 845, BFWD, and Opti-Seal, on my car.
 
I'm not a pro. What I want out of my LSP is durability with a very close second being good looks. If something looks totally crazy awesome but is only going to last two weeks, it's not for me. If something only looks crazy awesome but will last me 3-6 months, I'm more more interested in that, especially if I can top it with various other products.

Coating application scares me.
 
For the daily driver's, Collinite 845 is all I've needed. It looks great, and will take anything you can throw at it.

I have had VERY good results with Meg's Quick Wax on white paint, it really makes it pop! Durability isn't half bad, especially if there is a real LSP under it. I use this as that "little something extra" if I don't top with a 'nuba, or if they just wanted a wash, I'll usually use this. Not to mention it's cheap, readily available, and very easy to use. I tested it on personal vehicles and still use it, I'm very happy with it's results.

I have BlackLight and some other products/carnubas for the true enthusiasts and my own personal projects.
 
For my customers, usually Duragloss 501/601 topped with Duragloss 105/601. My cars usually end up with one of Collinite 845/476/915 on them, because I prefer the warm look, and the durability.
 
To further clarify, DG lasts a long time, leaves a very slick surface, I can give my customers small samples of Aquawax to use in between details, and beads water for a long time. Plus, you can buy in bulk, so costs are kept low. No trim staining, etc, so quick, easy to use, and reliable. Looks are very shiny, if a little sterile. Although it can be purchased over the counter, not so much where I live, so it doesn't have a cheap product tag stuck to it.
