If you do it after glazing I think it will remove the glaze. You would do the wipedown after the polishing/compounding and before the glazing.

Good point--I had forgotten that little bonus to the system.

Joy says--"Remember that glazes contain a lot of oils, which I believe might cause bonding issues. Wax likes to stick to paint not oils." SOS.

I did not see where you mentioned doing a good cleaning after the XMT3/XMT1 to remove the polish residue?

Somehow, I knew we would be called crazy. Maybe someone with an IR Thermometer can take the temp at the PC head using the Edge 2000 and then let cool and take it again with a backing plate/CCS pad. Try to eliminate variables such as time of use, pad and polish aggressiveness.
