killrwheels@autogeek said:yes it appears related to adapter specifically, hopefully Aaron will chime in shortly.
Ticman said:It could be the bearings of the PC itself. They have bearings right where you screw the adapter in. It may have gotten very hot and caused the grease to melt.
Al-53 said:That would be my guess also....the grease is heating up and traveling...I believe there is also grease in the head area for the gear and pinion drive....its the area where the handle screws into....
look at this blow u of the PC..I blew it up to 200% to see things better

BlackCoupe said:And based on the posts in this thread, would you suspect the Edge system?
YupBlackCoupe said:Edge 2000?
The Edge said:Sorry for the delay in replying but I am away on vacation with my family this week and have limited internet.
There is no grease in the adapter at all, and therefore NO CHANCE that grease is comming from the adapter or system. Sometimes if you place alot of polish or compound in the center of the pad it will turn black with all the vibrations and action in the center area but it will not leak oil or grease. That sounds like it is comming from the PC itself and does not have anything to do with out pads, adapter or system. I would suggest contacting AG about any problems you have and they will take good care of you.

Gottabekin said:Thank you for your answer, so the black stuff did come from the PC. Now let me ask you a question. Do you think the Edge 2000 is better to use with the 5" counter weight or the 6" counter weight. I bought the AG package and it came with a 5" counter weight. I think there's a lot of vibration with it.
