thanks guys...the nts7 is not a bad product...just nothing above the rest...i would still use it again...just would not be on my top product list for a black car....light color cars i think would benefit greatly from the surface shield....it would definitely bring out a lot of pop in a lighter...

i wouldnt put the hours worked into consideration in this scenario...as you admit you are no pro...and probably could have sped up the procedure if you were more experienced...i think 250 is what i would have charged this vehicle as well...but i will admit i would be done with it in half a day...

with the pc and 6 inch pads you will be fine...no need to worry about burning paint....

So my neighbor has watched me detail cars for months now...and asked me to polish up his 93' Vette....has a rebuilt motor...and the paint needed some TLC to match what was underneath the hood....total correction was not possible as some parts I could tell the clear was thinning and some panels...

Unfortunately had to leave the Z outside and parked in a lot that has sprinklers for the last two weeks...that coupled with the sunny weather meant waterspots galore....after rinsing it was nice to see my sealant held up perfectly and prevented the waterspots from etching...i knew a normal wash...

pinnalce xmt pad cleaner is just an APC with a nice misting spray head on it and some red coloring :) ..... just about any "soap/cleaner" type product works well on pads....spinning them dry yields fastests drying...i pretty much grab whatever cleaner is near me to clean my pads...woolite...

you can go good 'ol texas style on them and fill the ant hill up with gasoline and light 'er up :)

go to the meguiars website and they have a dealer locator...look for ones that carry their professional line...usually they end up being body shop suppliers...i am like a kid in a candy store when i go to the shops...its fun...you will most likely have trouble finding 3000 grit...not a popular...

just so you know cg wash n gloss is a great cleaner and even at a dilution ratio of 2 oz to one gallon of water the ph of the solution is just under 7.5....just food for thought that the soap is much gentler than people think...dont let the citrus name fool you...you will have more lsp loss with...

the aluminum foil method works nice as well...on really bad rims you can dip it in coke or pepsi as well...
