    Concours Auto Salon: Project CaymanS

Re: Concours Auto Salon: Project CaymanS *Updated* Well here are a few more pictures that the owner of the CaymanS had taken. The Cayman has side vents on the driver and passenger sides, just behind the doors. We wired in some LEDs to his courtesy lights so that when he unlocks with his remote...

    Concours Auto Salon: Project CaymanS

Hello, it can be expensive depending on how far the client wishes to go. It kinda goes like this.....we are asked what can we do for said clients car and we reply we can do A, B and/or C....so we set about the work and then we may suggest this or that and before you know it we have a month long...

    Concours Auto Salon: Project CaymanS

I appreciate your kind words, thank you. It's a great deal of fun to do this type of stuff, it allows us to let out our creative sides. We have an Solar Orange AudiR8 coming in to our shop in May and he wants us to add some custom touches so looking forward to that! Hey buddy! How are...

    Concours Auto Salon: Project CaymanS

Thank You, much appreciated. I agree, thank you. It is just enough custom work to not be overboard. We may do some small things here and there in time, like a new cluster of gauges....in yellow of course! We actually get a good deal of this type of work but we just don't post it up...

    Concours Auto Salon: Project CaymanS

This Speed Yellow CaymanS came to our shop with one demand from the new owner..."See what you can do with it" So we set about brainstorming what we all we can do. We wanted to remove the stripes and Porsche badges but the new owner had grown to like them so we will leave those for another day...

Opinions on using APC to clean leather??

Roger, Thanks for the reply. I have a few years detailing cars and while no expert in leather I grasp that it was a once living creature and has its own special areas of cleaning and protection. Thanks again, Anthony

Opinions on using APC to clean leather??

To state that one should be cautious of cleaners and the negative effect they may have on "leather" yet then claim that "conditioners" are no good for "leather" because they cannot permeate or reach the "leather" (due to a top coat) are talking in circles, it's self-refuting. Or did I miss the...

    Optimums Opti-Coat

It needs either a chemical/solvent cleaner or it has to be abraded off. A light polish/glaze will have little to no effect. Anthony

    Optimums Opti-Coat

This idea of adding extra coats or layers of Opti-Coat is incorrect because Opti-Coat, once cured, rejects itself. If one wishes to add a layer it would have to be done so within 30 to 45 minutes of the first application. Anthony

GTG in San Antonio, Texas Thursday, October 14th

Hey Everyone, Ron and I would like to thank Mike Phillips and all those who attended and made the night a special one. Ron and I got to hang out with friends and also made some new friends which we hope grows into a long lasting relationship. Mike was very generous with his time and very...

    Quick Review: Optimum Opti-Clean

As Woob noted you'll want to allow a towel wet with ONR or Opti-Clean to sit on the bird bomb for a few moments to loosen and soften it then try to "lift" or gather the bird poo up into the towel. Repeat as needed then re-seal. Avoid wiping the bird poo off the car. Birds eat sand/dirt to help...

Been very impressed with Opti-Coat so far!

I did all the beta testing on Opti-Coat for more than 3 years before it was sold. It has been on several of those "beta" cars now almost 5 years. You can knock it, deny it or continue to call it a scam based on my findings and testing alone as many consider me "in the pocket" of Optimum (or...

    Optimums Opti-Coat

This is absolutely correct. Just because Opti-Coat is a permanent coating does not mean your clients cars do not need upkeep. I have been applying Opti-Coat to cars now for years and they all come back to us for monthly and many for weekly washes. It does not mean you're putting yourself out of...

    Bubbles In Clear Coat

Sorry to say but your paint is toast. It can be wet sanded and polished but that will do very little to correct it. The clear coat and most likely base coat have been etched. It will need to be repainted to fix it completely. Touch up can work but again its just not a total fix but a band aid...

Been very impressed with Opti-Coat so far!

This is incorrect. I have been testing Opti-Coat for 4 years before it's official release. It is, as others have stated, the future of where paint protection will be going. For others asking I will try and fill in some blanks. Opti-Coat, one syringe, can do about 4 cars BUT this depends on...

Optimum Spray compound and polish Problems

As noted "IF" your finish does not require or need an abrasive polish then always start with the least abrasive product and work from there. The Hyper Compound is abrasive, a true non-diminishing product and as long as it's wet it's cutting. Also remember that these new Optimum polishes have...

Show Car Garage Video: Optimum Hyper Polish

Mike, Excellent stuff:xyxthumbs: To help explain a few things, namely "Why a spray polish (compound)?" I would like to post up my experience so far with these new products. We use both methods, both spraying onto the pads and also the paint. As noted by Mike the pad surface becomes your tool...

    Sealant Rates

By air gun. Yes you use more product but not a great deal more. It allows for better application and you're getting 100% of product on the paint. When using a towel or sponge you're losing some amount due to absorption. Anthony
