When working with Megs 105 I keep the pad damp with DI water and clean the pad often. No problems at all. Its when I get lazy and fail to do the things mentioned that I have problems with 105.:dblthumb2:

Are you using 5.5 pads or 6.5 on your 7424xp ?

I used XMT 360 once with an orange CCS pad via Flex . My car is silver so it worked well.

I just bought Rain X bug and tar remover cause it was on sale. It works great on bugs. It also leaves a wax-like protectant on the paint. I say this beacuse I used it on an RV and the day following the wash it rained and the water beaded right up. Believe me this RV has never been waxed.

I've been reading a lot about this new DP Poli Coat and it sounds interesting. I'm also just getting into using flat pads so I'd really like to sample them.

When you say Flat pads are better, does this include hydo-tech Flat pads?
