    Be Careful How You Look!

LOL That's just made my day. :applause: Or how many times have you been stopped at a red light checking out the car in the lane next to you until you realize the driver is giving you black looks? :( Or you realize that the other driver is a hottie and your wife thinks you're checking her...

    Question On Products and Accessories

:iagree: I totally agree with DS Detailer. Used Mothers & Meguiars products for years until I found Autogeek. Took a chance on the Pinnacle line based on what I saw and read on the website (the stuff's not cheap you know ;) ) Never looked back or regretted it, this stuff is awesome. Only...

    cleansing lotions

I prefer to use PCL after the claying, not before. That way I'm starting with a clean canvas. Just my $0.02

    cleansing lotions

Joe, consider using a paintwork cleansing lotion for a number of reasons: I think of PCL as clay in a bottle. Although I may clay my vehicles every 6 months or so to remove imbeded debris, I'll use PCL every 2-3 months to remove any spotting or minor surface imperfections that are left sitting...

    OK, here goes NOOB question

Kelly, As far as I know (as a customer) Pinnacle is the top brand name of Autogeek.net, and is only available on-line or through one of their authorized resellers in Florida. Check out http://www.pinnaclewax.com/resellers.html for more info

    Pinnacle Gel Wheel Cleaner

:iagree: Put one coat on the daughters wheels, and Killrwheels is right again. Thick, black and very glossy. So I went ahead and put TWO coats on my P/U. Now that's just how I like them, Incredible shine and VERY wet looking. :righton:

    porter cable plug / socket

A step down transformer is still not a recommended safe practise for a number of reasons: A transformer will not alter the Frequency, 60 Hz in is still 60 Hz out. The PC is designed for only 50Hz. Therefore it's going to run about 20% faster/hotter than design and thus shorten it's life. When...

    porter cable plug / socket

Peter, you need to be careful! There's more to the story then just the plug. :( Growing up in the UK I know that your Utility Power is 240V AC 50 Hz, while over here in the US it's 110V AC 60 Hz. Did you specifically order an export 240V model?

    Poorboy's polish on clearcoat

:iagree: Right-on again Neothin. If I read the product description right, the new Ultra Poly Clay is best suited for regular upkeep on well maintained finishes. So in this case he would be better suited to using the more agressive DP version. Thanks for the heads-up.

this pad that came with the porter cable

    Window Tinting

As soon as I can use up my supply of IG I'm eager to try the DP Krystal Vision, it seems to be well liked by a lot of forum users. Alas I have too many bottles of IG to give up now. :o

    Poorboy's polish on clearcoat

Strongly recommend that you clay that new cas ASAP! Most (if not all) new cars are transported by rail at some point en-route to the dealership, or are parked in huge lots adjacent to rail yards for long periods of time. Thus rail dust is inevitable. :( Leave brake or rail dust on your...

    Window Tinting

Bill, are you asking should you use Stoner's plus paper towels, or was it OK for the shop you visited to use it? Read somewhere that you should NOT use paper towels as they have too much oils and lubricants from the manufacturing process in them. Newspaper seems to work well (and favored by...

    My next adventure.

Question was: What should I use on the Door Jambs? Answer in Quote by Killerwheels. "The salesman is pointing out each door jam and how they sparkle (thanks Clearkote Quikshine)." Hey, if it's good enough for Killerwheels, it's good enough for me. ;)

    Dusters - California VS OXO.

I've had a California Duster for some time now and love it for cleaning off the fine layer of pollen and dust that settles over time. Got mine with the plastic handle instead of wood, but the OXO with rubber handle would be a great alternative.
