I would get the Griot Garage 6" instead of the PC - a lot more power, just redesigned v3.0. I would also get the spray bottles from Home Depot, they are $1.50 cheaper for the pro metal-spring loaded trigger bottles, etc. If you get the microfiber towel pack, you don't need the grit guards...

I don't want to waste this product and I know new cars have leather interiors but not all of the seat is leather. What's leather? Just the seat face and backrest? Should I use the LM on the entire seat, even the back of the backrest which is likely some sort of vinyl? The car is new in 2014...

I'm in Westmont, working next to O'hare in Rosemont. I was considering going from my 4WD to a 2WD but this winter made me choose AWD when I got a new car a couple weeks ago. Today, I'm waiting it out. I usually go in at 5:30 but will leave at 9am.

Is there any issue with putting a Griot Garage pad on a Lake Country backing plate? I have the LC BP (2-7/8") and want to put on these: Griots Garage 3 Inch Orange Polishing Foam Pad 3 Pack I read here the pad should match the brand of the BP. Aren't they all just Velcro and can be interchanged?

ok thanks. That explains why I can't find them. I've also noticed if you follow the clicks through to the Lake Country pads, the 5.5" flat pads are strangely omitted. To order them, you have to go to the "pads" area, then click on the first top left link for "Porter Cable and other DA polisher"...

I see the hydro-tech 3" pads but not regular LC flat pads in 3" size, just 4", 5.5" and 6.5" sizes. Are there standard open cell 3" flat pads by Lake Country that fit the 3" LC BP?

I realize I am a noob but if you look at the two pics I posted (reposted here for clarity), I think SF4000 with an orange as step one and SF4000 again with black or red to shine it up seems fine based on Lake Country's pad chart. FG400 seems to be overkill, on the Menzerna chart for 1200 grit...
