LC 3inch flat pads?

I see the hydro-tech 3" pads but not regular LC flat pads in 3" size, just 4", 5.5" and 6.5" sizes. Are there standard open cell 3" flat pads by Lake Country that fit the 3" LC BP?

yes, but AG doesn't seem to sell them. other vendors do

ok thanks. That explains why I can't find them. I've also noticed if you follow the clicks through to the Lake Country pads, the 5.5" flat pads are strangely omitted. To order them, you have to go to the "pads" area, then click on the first top left link for "Porter Cable and other DA polisher" pads, and then they will be listed.

The ordering "order" of stuff at AGO is strange.

So if I get these closed cell 3" pads, will they behave radically different to the 5.5 CCS and flat pads that are open cell?

Is there any issue with putting a Griot Garage pad on a Lake Country backing plate? I have the LC BP (2-7/8") and want to put on these:

Griots Garage 3 Inch Orange Polishing Foam Pad 3 Pack

I read here the pad should match the brand of the BP. Aren't they all just Velcro and can be interchanged?
