Not able to get Poorboy's Bug Squash in time ...will this work??

In a pinch, I would just use a weakly diluted APC (maybe 10:1) and let it soak for a bit. Just be sure not to let it dry on the paint. You will probably need to reapply an LSP after, as some APC's will strip wax.

    Wax as you dry products

I like D156 for the results and also the price. I've used Optimum Car Wax (spray wax) and it performs nearly identically to D156 for me, but is quite a bit more expensive. The OCW is about $50 per gallon, while you can pick up a gallon of D156 for under $30 shipped. at $13 for 2 gallons, looks...

Taking calls while detailing a client's car

Get a bluetooth earpiece and answer the call hands free and continue working. I just went on a fishing charter the other day and that is exactly what the charter captain did the entire fishing trip. He must have made/taken 50 calls during our half day trip. 45 of the 50 calls were too/from...

Best bang for buck wax on the market?

Meguiars Ultimate Fast Finish For just $10/$11 per bottle, its worth trying imho. I used to do my vehicles with #845 but now I use UFF. The UFF is much easier and faster to apply than the #845. And The UFF also lasts much longer than the #845. I also believe the UFF attracts less dust than...

    Nanoskin vs clay bar

Also, if you look at the surfaces of the various nanoskin type products, you will see that they all have some form of wavey or textured surface. it isn't completely flat, so the particles do have places to go once pulled from the paint before being rinsed away.

Buff and ShineFlat Foam Pads 6 Pack

Yup. You can pretty much get by with just buying the orange and white pads in B&S 5.5 line. I'd just get half white, half orange and go from there.

    Smelly interior

Dryer sheets are typically made from polyester, a synthetic fiber, which is not easily attacked or digested by bacteria or fungus (rot). chances are it's not rotten dryer sheets, but rather rodent smells because the dryer sheets didn't work to keep them out. like other replies have said, an...

    Nanoskin vs clay bar

Yes, both clay and nanoskin type products will work to remove/strip/damage whatever wax or sealant is currently on the vehicle, which is why the claying step is one of the first steps in correcting paint issues, followed up by polishing and applying protection (wax/sealant/coating).

    Wax, Sealant or Coating?

Sealants and spray waxes for me. lately I've been extremely happy with the combo of UFF aerosol sealant topped with a spray wax like D156 (UQW) or Optimum spray wax. For the asking price, I think you'd have a hard time finding a better, more cost efficient system than UFF topped every week...

    Nanoskin vs clay bar

Because the contaminates don't embed themselves into the nanoskin like they do with regular clay. That is why you need to keep kneeding/working the clay to get a fresh face and avoid dragging the same contaminates over the paint. The Nanoskin pulls them out, but doesn't hold on to them like...

    Wax safe windshield washer fluid?

I would have to think the Rain-X wiper fluid would be a good option. Even if it does lead to removal of the glass wax/treatment prematurely, it will still have decent water shedding all on its own.

Meguiars Plastx Clear Plastic Cleaner & Polish

Because Plastx is designed to be used on plastics..... which you are not going to be working on. You said you are polishing clear coated, painted wheels. Since you are going to be polishing clear coat (paint), use a product designed to polish clear coated paint like swirlX, ScratchX, or UP...

Anyone doing washes for company employes with signup sheets?

I guess I was going off your original post where you said you were asked to wash some cars, which to me is washing and drying and could be done in 15 minutes per car. if you are going to be expected to clean both tires and wheels, apply tire dressings, and vacuum out the interiors, and take an...

Anyone doing washes for company employes with signup sheets?

Aren't you just doing a simple wash/dry on each car? Or does this include tires, interior, etc..? If you are just doing a simply wash/dry, I would think 15 minutes per car would suffice, even with a spray wax/drying aid to add some shine/protection.
