    Road tar on wheels

Thanks rcg. I do not have Tarminator in the stash right now. I will have to compromise with what other solvents I can find in the garage, shop, shed, house.:D

    Road tar on wheels

I was doing a quick wash before heading to the football game Saturday (Go MIZZOU!) and after spraying off the wheel cleaner, I noticed there was some residual road tar spots remaining on the wheels. They are coated aluminum stock Jeep 17" wheels. The clear coat is starting to degrade in spots...

    Powergloss question

Thanks Surfer. My plan is to hit the worst spots with the PG and orange pad (I have yellow also), then the SIP with white and the 106fa with gray (or blue). The lsp I was planning on is WGDGPS/natty's on the two daily drivers and maybe RMG/Natty's on the Nova.

    Powergloss question

Thanks Asphalt Rocket! Will a gray LC pad work also? I will have to check the pad supply and see if I have any blue ones.

    Powergloss question

What is the next step to use after powergloss? Do I need to use SIP or can I go straight to 106FA? I also have XMT #3 1n #1 and their carnauba glaze. I plan to use WG DGPS, Natty's Blue for LSPs. My plan is to try powergloss on the worst spots, do the rest with SIP, the whole car with Nano...

    Cobra HD Guzzler

I spent many years using aa natural chamois and terry cloth to dry with. I have been using the Absorber for the last ten years. It looks like I need to get a "quality" ww micro for drying instead of the Absorber and bargain micro cloth I currently use.:D

    Is it chalky? You decide

From what i can tell by the picture, it looks pretty good. I do notice the orange peel that Meghan was referring to. I do notice this more these days on many factory paints. I think the best way to deal with this is wet sand and a rotary/compound. You seem to have some quality products to...

    Purple foamed wool question

I just ordered a 5.5" Menzerna kit while they were on sale and it came with a 6.5" purple wool pad. Can this be used effectively with the pc or is it better left to a rotary? I also got an extra yellow LC pad and wondered which one would work better for tough spots or is there anything I...

Best way to deal with "solvent pop"?

I concur that wetsand/rotary or more likely a repaint are in order in the future for this "driver". I am just trying to make the best of what I've got for now. It is not that I did not notice this from the beginning, it is that I have not done anything more to tha paint but glaze and wax or...

Best way to deal with "solvent pop"?

I'm considering getting the three Menz products and the 4" spot buffing kit. I do not have a rotary, but did use one on a 89 Dodge truck about 15 years ago. Man the Chrysler cc sucked back then. I am also looking to try a new wax or glaze/wax combo on this car. Considering RMG/carnauba...
