Latex Paint

Long Story Short:::

I am detailing a BLACK Mazda B2300 Pickup used by a painter with neglected paint that has a slight coat of oxidation and grime over it.


What is the best and safest way to remove this house paint from the back of the truck? I have never had to remove anything like this before.

On another note is there an OTC product or a Polish you recommend. I have Detailers Pride Final Polish and Medium, I am out of their extreme polish. I plan to use poor boys polish with sealant as the final coat.

With a flame thrower?? How long has it been there? You may have luck with a very aggressive clay. See this link for a similar situation that I just dealt with:

I have successfully used goof off spray to remove overspray paint from my car. It was in very small quantities but it worked great.

I don't know how big the spots of latex paint are but I have had great luck around the house with a product called Oops!
