    glad to hear that ... i researched a bit, then bought it ... i used the meg 105 and a surbuf on half the hood, it worked great ... im just trying to avoid using the 105 - i absolutely hate it! ... prob the 20th time ive posted that ... it works great, but it wears me out .........

    im doing a new 2011 black maxima as well ... what are these dealerships doing to these new cars when they send them out? ... swirls on a new car is nuts!!!!!!!! anyway i just ordered some optimum compound II and surbuf pads ... my plan is to follow that with some m205/orange LC foam pad ...

    LOVE the 205, i use it with the blue lakewood pad ... i like the menz po85rd for a nice gloss as well ... im just done with the 105 ... i need a new correction compound.......

    thanks for the reply ... ive heard some good stuff about that optimum ... i did my entire vette with the 105 and never got the hang of it ... i used a lot, i used a little, i worked in 70*, i worked it in 90*, i buffed quick, i buffed slow...........it didnt matter, it chalked up and gummed up...

    maybe somebody will chime in, but im doing a 2011 (brand) new maxima ... swirled to death from the dealership ... had to be an automatic car wash ... its black ... i hate using the meguiars 105, but its hard to beat for correction ... what else works good for correcting the clear? ... how about...

    i think wizards is a very good product, its local and very affordable ... i love the shine master sealant, easy to work with ... i used the finish cut on the vette and it wouldnt budge the swirls, but its a good cutter on softer clears ... good products though :xyxthumbs:

    105 205 (polish) menz po85rd (wax) pinnacle signature series 2 got an entire thread of my car on here, somewhere ... my camera sucks and does the paint no justice ... you can see the metallic pop! ... get the menz! good luck .......

    i read on another website to cut the 105 with OP, i dont know what (OP) is??? ... 70/30 cut to keep it working longer without gumming up ... the next time i use it, im going to try cutting it with the 205 ... i killed myself using the 105, but the results were worth it ... i found using a lot...

    is there anything more aggressive than the m105 and using a surbuf pad? ... each panel on the vette took a good 3-4 rounds of buffing ... (or) maybe its the buffer im using? ... which is a craftsman rotary, i have a 6" backing plate hooked to it ... i think my 2 speeds are 1450 and 1600 rpms ...
