    L.A. Totally Awesome Cleaner

The product name "Awesome" will steer some folks away, but I find it to be a compentent APC and at @$4/gallon priced right. I would re-label it L.A. Totally Impressive Cleaner. I use it primarily on the exterior for tires and wheel wells. Use it side by side with your current fave APC and...

Harvey - 1964 Ford Falcoln Futura

So, what is the "rest of the story"? Surely that isn't all? My first car was a '63.5 Ford Falcon Futura, '63 body style (which IMO is better than the '64) but with a '64 interior. In this specific car the interior consisted of bucket seats (low back, and lap belts) with a center console...

    Hello from Southern Colorado

Actually, I heard that southeast of Denver (south again of Englewood) there was snow yesterday (Monday) morning.

    Hello from Southern Colorado

Hello cnfowler! I had to sign in to say howdy to anyone from that fine town! We've traveled through Del Norte for the better part of 3 decades on our way just a little bit further up the road for vacation. It is just a real nice looking town.

Back to Black vs Forever Black

Interesting observation. Not too crazy I guess as many will recommend peanut butter. Did the peanut oil wash off with just a normal dilution of car wash shampoo?

Back to Black vs Forever Black

Yes, I muddied the waters of my own thread, when I inserted the Mother's product (Back to Black) in my title line. The two products which seemed the most similar were the Black Again and Forever Black, both being silicone-free based polymer products. I do understand the dye factor in Forever...

Back to Black vs Forever Black

Has anyone used both products and have a preference? Usage will be a textured surface black bumper. Looking for a product that can give some long lasting "as new" restoration. TIA Edit: I meant to also reference the Black Again product

    Volvo Outrage!

I'm probably biased, but everytime we walk out to our sitting Volvo we marvel at the timeless lines she presents. We normally trade in our vehicles in 7 year cycles, and are usually ready for something new. 11 years and she still "sends me". Nica, I haven't had any windshield trim issues...

    PB's S&W or DP's Waterless Auto Wash

Indeed you were, I misidentified you. I meant to name Whitethunder46, the originator of this thread. It was he, who mentioned the DP product that was similar to PB's S&W, a waterless wash. My apologies to both parties.

    Volvo Outrage!

We own a '96 850 GLT with 182k+ miles. There are costs associated with properly maintaining any vehicle. Volvos parts and service are not cheap. I have spent a good deal of money maintaining ours over the 11 years (next month) of ownership. I've had a couple of issues that I'm not happy about...

    PB's S&W or DP's Waterless Auto Wash

FWIW, I think 2KLS1 is referring to this product DP Waterless Auto Wash lets you wash your vehicle without water! Waterless car wash vs the 4 n 1 product. I have both (I also have the 4 n 1 product). Between S&W and the equivalent DP offering I can't put my finger on any large...

Received my Souveran and some fancy labels for my bottles.

LOL! I know the feeling. I used to have a pretty good hand, a 9th grade drafting class really helped with lettering; but the years have deteriorated those skills. Now I have my Wife label my bottles for me. I don't like having to peel those PC generated (Avery/Brother) labels off when I...

    Texans!

Native born and bred here. Still live in my home town. Lone Star, unfortunately not all of those ring true anymore, but it's still kinda funny. Yeah for Sam Houston, went to Sam Houston Jr. High! P1et, are you a D.U. member? Ever been to a D.U. dinner? I was for about 20 years. Finally...

    Mercedes- "ceramiclear" clear coat

Just browsing doing a lot of catch up reading as the weather is cold and wet today when I came upon this thread where I read these two posts: I must say, very commendable killr. Now to resolve this maybe Max can discuss with Menzerna about the possiblity of carrying some of their...

    Christmas Party 2006~

Great looking location for any party. Who doesn't love a screened in porch, especially one with such a great view? Great Christmas weather, too. Missed the reveal on Max's gift :) Christmas tree? Yule log? :D

    whats the difference

I was wondering too and asked... http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/showthread.php?t=3350 See page 3 One other factor not mentioned, but is probably the swing vote for me, is IIRC you can't buy #00 in the gallon size.

    Product Review: Natural sea sponge.

I have also found these sponges to be quite durable. Additionally, they seem to rinse free of dirt and grime much easier than do either sheepskin or cotton chenile. While I have to throw my sheepskin and chenile mitts/sponges in the wash on occasion, I've never had to wash any of my other sponges.

    Glaze over Sealant??

You can apply a glaze over a sealant, yes. You can apply a carnauba topper over a sealant/glaze, yes. Just make sure you are through applying all of you sealant applications, or prepare to remove any glaze/carnauba before applying more sealant. As MCA noted, at minimum you will experience a...
