Should I move my detailing products inside?

I always move my detail supplies inside. Alot of waxes warn not to let it freeze and even though my garage is somewhat heated, i just don't like taking the chance.

    Why seal?

From what i've read, most people apply wax over a sealant for visual purpose, and added protection. Sealants are great for durable protection but i've read they lack the visual appeal that a good wax provides. Wax provides a deep, warm paint appeal that sealants supposedly don't provide as much of.

    Paste vs liquid

I can't say that one is better than the other, but from what i've seen so far, it seems paste goes further as far as how many applications you can get out of a can. I tend to use less paste than liquid when applying.

    Best sealant

I haven't used every sealant out there to actually say anything is the best, but i been using griot's garage paint sealant and it seems to be excellent.

Mixing products together. What's your recipe?

I mix Meguiar's M105 with Ultimate Compound and been mixing M205 with Ultimate Polish. I find this has been working very well for me, most times i mix 1/3 of the M line product and mix the rest with 2/3 of the ultimate line product. Good stuff! :)

    Most Missed (Discontinued) Products

I miss the old formula of brasso, for me it was great metal polish. The newer cream formula just isn't the same..

    pad opinions

@Kamakaz1961 Thanks for the suggestion, i haven't made the plunge yet to get a Flex, but have future plans to do so as i read it seems to be choice for correction (more power, less working time etc.) I haven't even tried the hex logic pads but i figure from using the CCS pads and liking what i...

Hey folks, I been using the Lake Country CCS 5.5 pads, and though they do a great job, i been wondering what you all think of the lake country flat pads. Do they offer good correction ability versus the CCS pads? Main reason i ask is because one of my buddies has a cyclo polisher, and that's...

Purchasing a Porter Cable 7424XP Dual Action

Pad suggestion would depend on what type of finishes you would be tackling, how much cutting power you'd need etc. In general, as far as lake country ccs pads go, i use mainly the orange pad for compounding, the white pad for polishing, and the gray pad for wax or sealants. I have a 5inch...

Coated my tires today and WOW,

Curious question, did you purchase this online or thru a local store? I haven't seen it in any local stores around town here yet, just the older T10 spray which i have read is not so great.

    Mothers vs meguiars

I actually been mixing ultimate compound and M105, with say a 16oz squeeze bottle - i'll put 4oz of M105 and 12oz of UC, works great for me.

    Mothers vs meguiars

In terms of OTC products, i actually use both, but i'd have to say i use more Meguiar's OTC products than i do Mother's OTC products. I use megs on the paint protection/correction side of things, and just recently began using moms metal and chrome polishes.
