The Shampoo That Started It All - Revisited w/New Formula

If you guys haven't tried this, please do. I'm still on a bottle of the old formula, but I recently 100% converted my cabinet from other Pinnacle stuff to XMT. From my experience, the XMT line is NOT the Pinnacle lines little brother as I'v heard it referred to. It'll stand up just fine on...

My surprising XMT vs SSII Results!

Nope. Those long lasting beads do not seem to intensify water marks/spots. This particular day, I drove away and they blew off before drying. But overall, any water spotting left on the surface after drying washes completely and easily away and never leaves any reminants that they were there...

    Carbon Fiber Detail

I own three Ducati's...I deal with my fair share of CF. I have always treated the surface just like the rest of the paint and have never had a problem.

    Whats your favorite car shampoo?

Pinnacle XMT!! Best I've ever used. Pinnacle BodyWork is good stuff also, but waaaaaay overpriced. It's literally twice the price of the XMT line, but no where near twice the product. I'd say they are on darn near on par with each other, with my vote going to the XMT regardless of price.

My surprising XMT vs SSII Results!

So a very wierd, but rather cool occurrence yesterday!! First rainfall on a fresh coat of XMT 180. Drove to work and truck sat in parking lot all day. Rain stopped about 11-ish, but it remained cloudy and cool the rest of the day. Around 1, I was gonna walk out to the truck just to look at...

What's the difference betweeen this an opti-coat 2.0?

Best Long Term treatment for new rims?

Do you, typically, or can you apply a LSP or anything over opti-coat? Or is that a fire and forget LSP itself, to be followed with normal cleaning & maintenance? Does it have a service life like most LSPs do?

My Headlight Restore...My FIRST Wet Sanding Job!

So...turned out pretty good I thought. The fog lights required 600 to get the majority of the chips and defects out, but it got most of it. Some were too deep, but they're unnoticeable at this point. Headlights started with 1000 did the trick. Question for you wet sanding experts though...

Quickest way to remove BFWD before winterizing

Or clay and a quick once-over with M205 on a non-aggressive pad. Nice and noticeable what a quick once-ove with the polish does. Plus it will definately accomplish your goal. I actually just did te same thing...wanted to do my winter routine while it's still nice...two layers of BFWD and...

Storing Foam Pads Wet with BFWD??

I probably use too much product, I'm sure...but I've always tried to clean right after use with Dawn and getting all the WD out has been a bear. I even let it soak for a bit with no improved results.

Storing Foam Pads Wet with BFWD??

I've already been ziplocking my pads for some time now with no moisture in the bags. I let them thoroughly dry before closing them up though. I started doing this because my pads (white LC especially) were changing colors. The texture of the white ones actuallly felt different to the touch...

Storing Foam Pads Wet with BFWD??

So, considering how difficult it is to remove BFWD from my black LC pads, what are your thoughts on storing the pad still wet with product in an airtight/zip-lock bag??

    How Far Does Paper Go???

1000 or 1500 either one, then to 3000 is a good step?? No need for 2000 in between?

    How Far Does Paper Go???

So going to order some Meguiars unigrit sand paper to do a headlight cleanup. Planning on ordering a few sheets of 1000, 2000, and 3000 to do in progressive steps...I don't think I need anything heavier than 1000. Are those good progressive steps to take, or do you guys recommend different...

Plastik Surface Sealant vs Paint Sealant 3.0

Getting ready to do a headlight repair job. After reading several articles on here, I really think I'm going to forego the off the shelf kit in a box and get the appropriate sand papers I need. I want to get some pics of the lights and maybe start a thread getting recommendations on which...

Dodo Juice Kits are in the House!!

Never heard a bad thing about it, and it should be good stuff being from the UK, but you're exactly right....just too much to choose from. It would drive me bonkers always wondering if the next one would work better or not! :-P

    Understanding headlamp repair

What about using a spray clear coat product like Wurth High Gloss Clear Lacquer after the lights are prepped and sanded?? What would that do for ya? I have three cans that I've never used, so I'm asking because since I haven't used them on anything yet, I'm unfamiliar what the finish would be.

    Ever do a Test Section??

WOW...Big surprise today in the sun. The XMT surprisingly provided the cleanest, deepest finish of the three. The Mothers was the worst leaving an appearance that seemed to actual lighten the blue while providing what I can best describe as a slight dulling effect to the reflection. It was also...

    Ever do a Test Section??

Oh yea...one point of interest just in case it's relevant in some manner...I used a clean LC black pad for all three applications to remove any variables. The Mothers by far was the most difficult to clean from the pad. The XMT was the easiest. FWIW, BFLD is by far the most difficult product...
