Is there any particular way to clean carbon fiber material? My gut tells me it not like paint i.e. swirl, glaze, sealant, and wax. Is there anything particular you need to do to clean it and to protect it?

A lot of carbon fiber is clear coated and can be treated just like paint.

If it's not clear coated, it's most likely gel coated.

If it's neither, it should be.

In any case, you can usually treat it like paint. Of course, it may not respond the same as the rest of the paint on the car.

They're actually covered with a gel coat. it's softer than clear coat so it can flex with the hood and not crack.
So just use good quality wash mitts and a soft pad to wax.

If it's just a gel coat and not clear, CAREFUL. It gets hot quickly and SOFT.

Yes. Sonax nano paint cleaner works incredible an carbon fiber. It's also an awesome AIO for soft paints and anything black.

I own three Ducati's...I deal with my fair share of CF. I have always treated the surface just like the rest of the paint and have never had a problem.
