Has anyone received an update from Griot’s on the G15? I had a good email dialog going with Griot’s customer service until about a month ago then they seemed to go radio silent... (never a good sign) Now I see a that the projected ship date is the end of this month; not really sure what’s going...

The lady does some frying on occasion, which can leave the tile in the kitchen and stovetop slick and coated in oil that’s difficult to remove. I have found a good automotive APC (full strength)makes quick work of kitchen grease (better than Dawn and and hot water).

Denatured alcohol and isopropyl alcohol are the same thing aside from additives added to the alcohol to make it toxic to drink. Please don’t drink Isopropyl alcohol either but the base for denatured alcohol could be fit for “drinking” before it’s denatured. Bottom line is for cleaning purposes...

The G21 isn’t available until 9/30 as well...

I have a Griot’s G15 on order but Griot’s keeps delaying when it will be ready, currently it’s two more months away... I have found a Rupes LHR15ES for $50 more than a G15 that ships now... I’m starting to think I should bite the bullet and spend the extra $50 for 2 months of getting things...

I assume it’s for machine cooling and swapping pads probably won’t make a big difference, other than letting it cool while you swap. Although, the backing plate breakage could be due to plastic fatigue due to heat? But I’m not a materials expert...
