In need of recommendations for a good car wash soap for intense cleaning

Thanks guys. I'm also thinking about getting a foam gun. I've been eyeing them lately, so I'll probably get one as well. Keep the suggestions coming.

In need of recommendations for a good car wash soap for intense cleaning

I was hoping you guys and gals would be able to give me some good recommendations for car wash soaps for the following situations: Cars that haven't been washed for a long time Cars that are going to be decon/sealed/waxed I'm running into situations in which I'm washing cars that haven't been...

    Window Tint Hazards?

Are you a part of a car club? Or do you know someone who is really car savvy? Chances are they will be able to recommend you a good person. Like detailers, I feel the best window tint specialists tend to end up being well known in their respective areas. Word usually gets around about really...

"Hellaflush" and now "Hellaglossy" - 2013 Scion FRS Corrected and Coated with CQuartz UK

Looks incredible! I'd imagine the paint was frustrating because of the fact that the car is actually manufactured by Subaru. I assume that means they paint it as well, and most of us know what's up with Subaru paint.

Desperately need help!! How can I protect my paint against harmful chemicals???

You should listen to the others who have posted here already. For what you are asking, it seems coatings are what you are looking for. Opti coat is a very well proven coating. So are 22ple, gtechniq, and cquartz. Haven't heard much about the CG coatings, so I couldn't say.

    Books

I recently finished 2666 by Roberto Bolaño, and will start Maddaddam by Margaret Atwood when I have time.

    Which one is better?

You mentioned previously that you'd be able to afford some maintenance even with the $11k, so I'd say that wouldn't be a bad idea. There will more than likely be maintenance costs, however. It all depends on how you weigh practicality vs desire. If you can afford the car you desire, then go for...

    Which one is better?

If your budget isn't very high, my personal opinion is that your number one priority should be economy. Stretch out your $11k as far as you can and get a reliable, "boring" car, like a Camry or Accord. At least it will more than likely last you long enough until you can afford the car of your...

got a big job interview tomorrow

Good luck with your interview! I've found that the most important aspect of the interview in my experience is the ability to sell yourself and your skills in a confident and personable manner. You KNOW you're their best candidate. It's your job to show them that in your final interview with...

Is Megs D103 APC + Discontinued?

Maybe I'm just looking at all of the wrong times, but I've never once seen D103 in "the Amazon." I always see D101, however. Admittedly, I only considered trying D103 in the past 6 months or so, and that's when I actively started shopping prices for it... OP, try Optimum Power Clean or CG...

    Searching for a Good APC

I use both Optimum Power Clean and Chemical Guys All Clean +. OPC is for anything beyond the norm, and AllClean+ is for general cleaning. I feel like you can't go wrong with either of those.

Recommendations for Optimum Power Clean interior dilution ratios?

I've now made a bottle of 3:1 and 10:1. I was lucky enough to have just enough OPC to cover both of those. I'll have to add some on to my next order.

Recommendations for Optimum Power Clean interior dilution ratios?

I'm hoping I can field some opinions on using Optimum Power Clean for interior work. Currently, I use OPC undiluted for pad cleaning, or at 3:1 for really nasty tires. I've been wanting to use it for the interior, but for some reason I feel as if 3:1 seems to strong. I was hoping someone would...

Thinking about trading in the CR-Z for a Fiat 500 Abarth, thoughts?

I dream about the V60 Polestar wagon at least once a day. I'd love to get that car when it comes out here. Sorry the Abarth isn't going to work out. Who knows? This probably means you'll get something even more awesome later! :xyxthumbs:

    New to car detailing

I know you've already gotten a lot of feedback, but I wanted to chime in anyway. I think the most important thing anyone could tell you right now, regardless of prices and work involved, is to start small. By that, I mean you really should only offer these services to people that you know. I...

Not sure how to react to this article

I'm of two minds about this sort of thing. Yes, I know that blog article is peddling uneducated car care tips, which is a bit annoying. But then I remember... they paid for their own cars, just like I did. If they want to screw up their paint, then that's on them. No skin off my back. You can...

Thinking about trading in the CR-Z for a Fiat 500 Abarth, thoughts?

While I ended up with the Fiesta ST, the GTI will always be my favorite hatch. I agree with everything you're saying about it. The MkV and MkVI are what I consider to be the "mature" hot hatch. It's a very refined car at a very attractive price. My wife also agrees; she has a MkVI GTI.

Thinking about trading in the CR-Z for a Fiat 500 Abarth, thoughts?

I tend to try and look at things financially... so I'm going to say that if you're already upside down on your CR-Z, then I would recommend NOT getting the Abarth. If it was me, it wouldn't be a choice between reliability and passion. It would be a choice of, what is financially feasible? I...
