hehe thats the only technique i ever use. i was just implying that the more often you wash the car the more often you expose yourself to the chance of scratching paint.

well one of the main things im looking to replace is the sealant. im a big fan of sealants because im personally more interested in longevity and protection.

oh yeah i know this. but i guess im just thinking about it in terms of avoidance. like the probability of slightly scratching the paint by wiping MF on the paint is higher then if you were to just leave the paint alone and wash it when its due.

well nxt is the one i was referencing with pastes. is that considered a sealant? i always thought it was.

has there been any proven benefit of using one over the other? ive always been under the impression that it goes from better to worse 1. paste 2. liquid 3. spray. but i am not sure if that applies to pure waxes only? when it comes to sealants does it really matter which is used?

wow looks beautiful. i have never seen an m3 in that color. i hate to be anal but i am but in the 2nd pic of the final results i can see some more swirlies/hazing where the sun hits. a pass with OP on a white pad would probably take care of that.

you should most definatley invest in a pc like most others suggested in this thread. i originally had an acura rsx and i attempted to detail and get swirls out by hand. it did not go so well. in fact i did more damage than i did good. for example... i would keep rubbing polish in to get rid of...
