Leather Care... Leatherique (pseudo review... LONG )

I've been going through my car (9 year old black leather) a little at a time cleaning this and that. The interior is clean, but the leather just wasn't super clean, soft and supple. It looked ok, but was a little stiff. I've tried a bunch of the OTC stuff like Blue Magic, Lexol, etc. and it...

    Detailing a boat questions

I wouldn't do it. 150 is not a fair price, it is a very cheap price. I wouldn't do work for someone that doesn't have a realistic idea of what time/effort to do a job costs... especially when we're talking about a 20k toy powerboat. It is going to take you at least 2 hours to go through the...

    Having problems!!

Take this with a grain of salt since I'm just a noob myself, but I have CCS and LC Flats and I liked the LC Flats. Make sure you get some advice some people like Accum, Mike, and some of the folks who really have put in the time and effort into this craft. I've been doing a LOT of reading...

    Giveaway! Optimum Hyper Polish Spray

A new product giveaway and my mother has been bugging me that her car 'needs to be done'. Sounds like a perfect way to try it out. Pick me!

    Giveaway! BrushNut Lugnut Brush Combo

I'd like to check these out. The lugs on my truck are such a PITA.

    Having problems!!

I only see two pics where you have a shot at getting those scratches either completely out or making them hardly noticable (shots 4&5). Orange pad and some 105. Slow and steady, don't go crazy. IPA wipe and check your work often. I had a pretty good key mark down the bed of my truck that I...

    significant difference 106fa and 85rd?

I've got all pads from yellow to red (no gold). All LC 5.5". I was planning on jeweling with 85RD and blue pads. Can someone give me the difference between the black/gray, the blue, and the red pads? I only use the reds for wax spreading. I haven't used the black/gray pads.

    natty's red for light metallics?

Ha. I'm in the process of going through things to see exactly how good I can make silver metallic flake on my car look. Meg's Gold Class was meh. AutoGlym did a nice job of making the car look really clean, had a great overall shine & reflection, and is pretty durable, but I really can't...

    Leatherique vs. Connelly Leather

By 'long time' he means 24+ hours. Leatherique recommends that you apply the Rejuvinating 'oil', massage it in, and let it sit in a sealed up car sitting in the sun for a day (or few) for it to create a type of steam-room effect. My 32oz kit is about to be delivered (probably within the hour...

Can this be fixed? (clear coat failure?)

Thanks for the info. :xyxthumbs: I figured it might be worth a shot since, by my logic, the clear coat failure appears to be that the clear is starting to become porous and failing, so like the single stage stuff, if the oils can go in and rejuvinate the old single stage perhaps it could help...

    Ridiculous!

That's the first word that came to mind when I rec'd my shipping notification that I'd be getting my WG Memorial Day Pack on Friday. This is just in time to do up the car with a bunch of new products that I wanted to try out AND I'll be able to top off the car with some Fuzion. I'm really...

Can this be fixed? (clear coat failure?)

From what I've read about using Meg's #7 as a restoration oil type product on the old dried out single stage paints, perhaps something like that might work? I'm sure Mike will chime in!

Burned the edge of my paint with a DA. *PIC*

D'oh. Now I see it. That sucks, but at least it isn't really that bad.

What BBQ sauce are you using?

Sweet Baby Rays Original, Sweet Baby Rays Hickory & Brown Sugar, KC Masterpiece Original, or a blend of my own stuff. I also make my own rub. For smoke, I usually use Apple, Cherry, or Sugar Maple. I like about 50/50 Apple&Cherry with my ribs. The apple and maple made for pretty damn good...

Hard water spots, buffer & chemicals - help needed.

I just got my PC7424XP with a bunch of 5.5" LC flat pads and the Megs 105/205 combo. I'm a big fan. It took my truck from a swirly mess with lots of RIDS to clear paint that the metallic shimmers in the sun. With no experience on a buffer, I was able to remove 95% of ALL defects from my...

    M205 and LC Orange...

I'm quite sore. I finished the entire truck with the 105 on the orange pads. I'm still impressed with the amount of correction. Speed 6, 6 section passes, decent amount of pressure (not enough to stop it from spinning), pretty slow arm speed, maybe 2-3" per second. I also got the hood with...

I'd say that for that, wet sanding might be the only option. Maybe 105 and a yellow pad...

    M205 and LC Orange...

Re: M105 and LC Orange... I know. That's why I was saying that if I can't see the micromarring on my dark blue metallic paint, there is no way I'm going to see it on silver metallic.

    M205 and LC Orange...

Re: M105 and LC Orange... Ok, so I went out and looked. Its pitch black out and I do see some micromarring. It is very light, but shows up in a few spots and not in others. Perhaps I need to get the right angles to see them on the fender, but I can see them on the hood. Next step would be...
